emotion_bigvein *sigh* Every. Damn. Time. I go for a doctor appointment I get asked, with concern in the doctor's eyes, "Do you or have you ever had an eating disorder???"
... *sigh* Nooo... I have not and do not. emotion_bigvein emotion_bigvein
I have absolutely no problem with big women. Women are beautiful in all shapes and sizes if they are confident with how they are. My aunt is a big lady and huggable as hell. I think she's gorgeous!
I really, reeeaaally dislike this double standard. Just because I'm skinny it's acceptable to assume I have an eating disorder and get in my business, but if I say something back about someone being overweight I'm a whiny model.
I wanted so badly to tell my doctor today "No, I do not have an eating disorder, I'm sorry not everyone can be a Doughnut ad model like you!"
But of course I'd never say that. ... I will think it though. *pout*
Seriously. As a doctor she should know full well that women come in ALL shapes and sizes and can be perfectly healthy.
Anyone can tell by looking at me, if they have half a brain, that I show NONE of the ravished signs of someone with an eating disorder. For example- to get graphic for a second, I have a period. BINGO- that means I'm eating enough. And she had JUST asked me about when my last one was.
Assuming someone has an eating disorder just because they are petite is absolutely ignorant. cat_talk2hand
