She got drunk, she got high.
She got in the car and watched her best friend die.
She knows she will never be the same.
Realized that survival is not just a game.
Awoke from her "dream" with a start.
Learned that survival is an art.
She now knows untold pain.
The doctors struggles were all in vain.
She lost her life that summer night.
If only she had made her decision right.
She was once my friend.
I didnt want to see her end.
Her death hit me like a poison dart.
She will forever be in my heart.
