Tempting Immortality [Pg. 1]
You cannot wish for the taste of change if you are not willing to risk life itself for it.
-Cyrus Vulpes

She sang. The lovely Penelope Poison sang with such grace, such beauty, such talent in the mornings, after she had woken up. She ran her fingers through her shoulder-length. jet black hair and tosseled it, lightly.

Penelope slid out of her silk-dressed, King-sized bed and walked to the window that over looked the underground land she had been calling home for the last six years.

Her land was dark, dimly-lit by lanterns throughout the kingdom. Temperatures ranged from 50 degrees fahrenheit to being freezing, if it was a good day. Penelope's underground wonder land was like a city in Italy, complete with salt water canals, small bridges, and elegant, Gothic-style gondalas. Caves circled and constructed the kingdom, organizing the citizens by surname; thus shaping them into clans.

Penelope rested her head on her hands and sighed peacefully, admiring the place she called home: the Vampire Grove.

"Ms. Penelope?" A sweet voice addressed Penelope from outside her chambers.

"Enter." Penelope tore herslef away from the beauty of the outside and sat at the foot of her bed.

A pale skinned female with iridescent blue eyes walked into Penelope's bedroom. Her healthy, light brown hair was pulled back into a French braid behind her left ear with her bangs pulled back by a blue, glittery butterfly pin. She moved with grace with her hands folded neatly in front of her perfection. She bowed when she came about a foot away from Penelope.

"Good morning, Ms. Penelope." She Greeted.

"Good Morning, Ecaterina," Penelope glanced at her oak grandfather clock, "what brings you here so early?"

"Master and Mistress Poison have requested your presense. My majesties have sent me here to prepare you." The sweet servant explained.

Penelope sighed, for she disliked help with her preparations. "Very well..."
