New doctor, love him! New meds, insulin regime, and counting calories and carbs is helping me to lose weight. Going to join Curves soon, so that should also help!
Unfortunately, I have a lump in my right breast that has tripled in the last year. Mammogram and ultrasound have shown it to be "benign," however it is rapidly growing and the doctor doesn't like it, wants to know why and what it is. So it has to come out. After trying for a couple weeks to get the schedules all worked out (I am now employed and working odd hours and had to request the time off well in advance) I am finally scheduled to have a 12cm sized "nodule" removed this Tuesday the 25th. Unlike the regular biopsy where they go in with a needle and snip bits off, they are putting me under anesthesia and actually removing the whole thing. A radiologist will first go in with a special ultrasound mammography-type machine, and slide a wire inside my breast and around the nodule. Then the surgeon will go in and remove everything within that wire loop.
Needless to say, I will be under heavy sedation afterward, and probably some pain meds. I won't be up to signing in to Gaia or trying to play games or dress my avi. I am trusting in God that He will get me through this, even my fear of being put to sleep. Ugh. No fear no fear, trust in HIM. Anyways, I am hoping once it's over I will have a speedy recovery. Being diabetic complicates things, but minimal invasive surgery shouldn't be TOO bad.
If you pray, pray for me please? Otherwise just send good and happy thoughts my way Tuesday morning. I see the radiologist at 7am, and the surgeon said I should be done and in recovery by 11:30.
Thank you all so very much!
