It was about you and me.

You had to go back but you had a little bit of time left here.
We got to sit down and talk.
I told you how epic the celebration of your life was.
We looked at your facebook, flooded with get wells, farwells and memories.

I looked you in the eyes and told you how inspiring your life was to me, how awesome it was to grow up with you and see you become the hilarious, caring and self confident person I became friends with.

And then I woke up.

....When I describe how this has been, I tell people it's like standing on the shore and seeing a wave slowly approach you knowing it's going to pull you ******** under.

Except that's a lie, it's more like you have your back turned towards the shore and have no idea when it's going to hit you again.

Over and over and over....

Little things set me off, little things make me smile. It's random.

And all I can do is link arms with everyone standing on the shore with me.
