Seirei (Chronos Version)
Large number of ravens summoned. Used as recon and tracking. Can plate themselves in metal with sharp wings, talons, and beaks.

Reinou (Energy) Blade: An invisible blade with a physical hilt as a source of energy. Costs no energy, but it also cannot last that long. Unlike a normal blade, this one cuts through anything physical, really. Due to the nature of Reinou, even a small amount of chakra is enough to block it...in which case, it works similar to a normal blade against armor.

Other Blade with different effect. Uses Reinou to harness its abilities. Abilities to be decided upon later.

Quote: "Conformity can only be negative if you're on the wrong side of it."

Conservation of Mass - Clone Technique: After killing someone, he can turn their body into a clone of his. Has abilities based on the rank of the person killed. These clones can't learn techniques...killing them is as hard as killing a normal person.

Seirei (The Holy Ghost)

Kekkei Genkai
Kasuru (Touch Lightly)

Description
Fukei has fairly wide-spread abilities. A lot of them are only potential abilities, while some can be obtained by all; it all depends on which route you take.

Stage One - C Rank
Unlock: Part of Stage One is obtained at birth. Everyone in this race is born with it. In fact, they have it before they're born. The other part is obtained throughout graduation (see Other Information).
Everyone in the race must start out with at least this stage. Thus, there won't be an actual graduation ceremony of sorts.
Abilities: Right before birth, they obtain the ability of essentially becoming intangible. This makes it impossible to physically touch them, whether with your body or with a blade or anything like that. As such, this also makes it technically impossible for them to touch something else. They do, however, have a special kind of energy to counter this inability to touch things called Reinou (see Other Information).
Throughout graduation, they are taught techniques and advance through their kekkei genkei. Upon graduation, or rather, to graduate...they must obtain 22 jutsu point worth of techniques (this does not include the fact that this stage is worth 3 points). They also obtain their first chakra element.

Stage Two - B Rank
Unlock: You must do one of two things. Firstly and most commonly, you must kill a parent. This is actually favored by the race to keep their population in check, and parents rarely fight back. Which parent you kill, father or mother, determines your abilities. To enable those without parents to still have the chance to obtain this stage, they may also simply kill another member of the race who has given birth before (outside of when their mating ability is tested right after they're born). Due to this, the members of Seirei are generally kept young. Most members of Seirei are below the age of 20.
Abilities: If you kill your father or another male, you attain the ability of advanced reaction time. Although it's at a godly level, it's limited, and with even the fastest of speeds, Seirei members aren't fast enough to physically react to things. So, while they can improve their effectiveness of offense, defense is only barely improved with it. As long as it's within a foot of themselves, this stage enables them to envision life as if it was moving at a very slow pace.
If a Seirei member kills their mother or another female, they gain a different level of visual enhancement. Rather than increased reaction time, they can see far greater distances and through objects. The range of their eye sight is multiplied by ten, and the ability to see through objects is only effective within thirty meters of themselves.
If you were to kill both parents, it would enable to you to combine the two abilities, although in a more limited sense. You wouldn't gain an enhanced level of vision in terms of distance; instead, your range of reaction is increased to ten feet, although it is now also reduced by five times. It would now be comparable to the sharingan.
Furthermore, seeing through objects would now only be enabled within ten feet of yourself as well.

Stage Three - A Rank
Unlock: This is rather simple to unlock, although it's nearly impossible to do yourself. It's unlocked through being surprised with an A-Ranked (or higher) genjutsu for the first time (although after stage two is unlocked). This genjutsu has to come from someone outside of the clan. Additionally, since it must be a surprise, you cannot simply tell someone to place you into a genjutsu.
Ability: The ability is rather simple, and generally looked on as wasteful by the clan. It allows you to go through your own mind and delete memories, or even add them in. If you press your palm on someone else's head and surge Reinou, it also allows you to look at someone else's memories, although you cannot tamper with them through this ability.

Final Stage - S Rank
Unlock: To unlock this stage, you must have great experience with genjutsu (at least 12 jutsu points of genjutsu techniques - if you have that much before stage three is obtained, you must simply learn one more genjutsu technique, regardless of rank).
Ability: Unlocking this stage allows a new level of genjutsu to be used. It essentially allows them to turn their genjutsu into reality, although not all genjutsu work in this way (meaning if you want a genjutsu to be used in correlation with this ability, you must first get that approved, both the genjutsu itself and the right to turn it into reality; afterwords, somehow note that it can be used with this ability).

Kekkei Genkai Techniques
Unobtainable Techniques
Shimanagashi - Banishment - SS
This technique is an auto-hit technique, impossible to avoid. Even with immunity to fuuinjutsu, this seal still works. It doesn't work on the body, it works on the soul. This fuuinjutsu is also impossible to remove or negate.
Once the seal is placed on someone, it is impossible for them to enter any Seirei establishment, whether it's a building or an area dedicated to them. Granted, they can't just claim a territory, they must complete a ritual that takes several days to complete, which involves placing fuuinjutsu seals in certain areas. These have no effect on those outside of the race, only those who have been branded by Shimanagashi. Furthermore, members of Seirei can tell who is branded just by looking at them.

Obtainable Techniques
Nagasu - To Float - Unranked
This is the Seirei's replacement for Chakra Control (their ability to walk on surfaces). Rather than walking, however, they levitate about a foot over the surface, whether it's the ground, a wall, or the ceiling. This is more than a replacement for Chakra Control though; it is the only thing keeping them from sinking through the ground without using Reinou. While floating, they still have to move their feet and legs to walk. This makes it seem as if rather than floating, they are simply standing on something others cannot, which is partially true. The "ground" they can stand on is basically physical to them, allowing them to jump off of it. This is somewhat of a passive technique; however, it can be turned off. To move through objects, this must be turned off and they must not be using Reinou, forcing them to essentially have to jump through an object (otherwise, they'll fall into the Earth).

Buraindotacchi - Blind Touch - Unranked
By surging Reinou through part of their body, it allows them to touch the physical world. This allows them to walk without using Nagasu, as well as many other things such as picking up objects. They do not touch the objects themselves, the Reinou does. This allows them to push objects, but the force behind it is like a slow-moving wall. This disallows them from actually directly harming someone physically, so their punches, kicks, etc, only push objects, not harm them, although they can still be pushed off of a cliff or something.
This concept is not the same when members of the Seirei try physically harming one another. Since Reinou is their version of chakra, and chakra is the only way to technically harm them...literal punching and kicking and whatnot become possibly for the Seirei if it's against another Seirei. As such, the only people they can have try taijutsu fights with are themselves.

Sude - Bare Hands - E
By generating Reinou around their body, they can essentially create invisible hands that can interact with the world physically. The maximum range of these hands is only three feet around the user, but they can be created from anywhere on their body. This is mainly an extension of themselves, allowing them to hold more objects or seemingly make them levitate. Up to ten hands/arms can be created at once, and the connecting point cannot change.
Physical objects can't pass through the Reinou, but any contact with chakra causes them to be destroyed. Any contact with Reinou does the same...except when it's the user's Reinou.

Shishin - Private Message - E
By placing Reinou in the feet, hands, fingers, or really anywhere, they can leave small traces of energy. They can then trigger a genjutsu using the Reinou, that selectively allows certain people to see what they have left behind. This can be something as simply as footprints, indicating a possible place the user is hiding, or something as elaborate as writing, which would leave the person with a message. Either way, the message can only be seen by certain people, although all members of Seirei can see it. The messages can also last quite a long time, up to a few years.

Seirei Taihou - Spirit Gun - A
This is a very dangerous technique, but it also as a horrible effective range. By generating condensed Reinou into your finger tip, it enables various effects, which all depend on the range.
If literally touching the person with the Reinou, it's strong enough to blow a tiny hole in the person. If hit somewhere like the finger tip, it wouldn't do much, just make them bleed out slowly (although it's deep enough to bleed them to death after a while, probably would take a few days without medical aid). If struck in the heart, brain, or any other major organs, it could easily cause death. Considering muscles are practically everywhere on the body, being struck at this range is going to always yield negative effects. The attack goes in a straight line and doesn't end until it finds a way out, meaning it could go on for miles if an object is completely solid.
If the Reinou cannot find a physical source within a very short distance of being fired (minimum distance apart to be considered not touching)), it essentially spreads out, both physically and strength-wise. So, if hit while less than a foot away, as well as not being touched by it, it created a strong pushing force. This is enough to send someone flying ten yards with ease if hit directly. If grazed (the size of it is only a foot in diameter, it could send someone backwards a couple of yards.
If the Reinou is released from a distance greater than a foot, the force would spread out to far and simply feel like a light breeze, making it pretty much useless.

Shitsunen - Lapse of Memory - A
By entering someone's mind using the Kekkei Genkai's third stage ability, you gain an added ability of removing or adding in memories (one at a time per use). This is done by essentially placing a genjutsu on them in the past (the genjutsu used has to be an actual genjutsu). If also using the fourth stage of the kekkei genkai, this could possibly allow you to injure them somehow. Much like with the fourth stage, not all genjutsu are allowed to be used in this case. As such, it both needs to be accepted and indicated that it can be used with this technique.
As a drawback, the user fails to remember anything that happens in the next to posts. After the end of the second post, they lose all memory of what happened before altering the person's memory. As an added benefit, using a genjutsu does not cost you any more chakra than it takes to activate this genjutsu.
Just as a note, cutting someone's arm off or something else as extreme will not be allowed.

Jitsuzai Doukishiki - Reality Synchronization - B
This is a genjutsu technique that is completely manipulable, in a sense. They can't necessarily choose exactly what happens, but it does allow them to insert any additional technique into the genjutsu. This isn't normally all that effective; in fact, it rarely is. The only time this does anything more than using the technique normally is when it's used with either the fourth stage of their kekkei genkai or with Shitsunen. All techniques must be approved on separate terms if they can be used with this technique. As an added benefit, using a technique does not cost you any more chakra than it takes to activate the genjutsu.
Similarly to Shitsunen, you're not gonna be allowed to cut someone's arm off with this or anything.
Note: To be able to use a technique within a genjutsu, the rank of the technique must be lower than the rank of the genjutsu.

More Techniques Will be Added if I Come up with Any
If you want to come up with your own, feel free to send them my way.

Village
They have their own "village," if you want to call it that. They tend to live somewhat isolated from one another, only meeting when necessary or desired. As such, most live within a forest known as the Dead Forest, which is large enough to hold the entire race of Seirei without any problems. There are scattered openings in the forest or place near the forest that are the locations of several buildings, some meant for training, some meant for various rituals, etc.

Markings/Symbols
None

Background
Due to their odd traits and abilities, people have always thought they were many different things. Ghosts were the most common thought, but it also ranged out to demons, angels, gods, spirits, and some simply thought it was a unique ability of theirs. After all, even time gods have their own myths and legends about mystical creatures, although most of the aforementioned theories are created by those who aren't fellow time gods.
Little is known about the race's extensive history. They have lived on for many generations, some having lived for hundreds of years; the eldest perhaps thousands of years. Most are old enough to remember times when general ninjutsu was not present at all; granted, several individuals showed a bit of power, some from Seirei. After some time, those individuals taught what they knew to the rest of the race, and eventually, the name Seirei was given to them based on their abilities. Every child has potential to be a "shinobi", and are expected to become one. The rest of the history is theorized, each Seirei member having their own opinions on it, although which is true is unsure of.

Other Information
Appearance
They are one of the Nexian Time Gods that actually look like humans, but they're not. They actually have a very slightly glow to them, seemingly giving off a small source of light from their body. Granted, this does not prove to be true when faced with darkness. Furthermore, although it might be unnoticeable at first, if you pay attention, you can just barely see through them. You can't make out what's on the other side of them, but you can definitely see something.

Reinou - Spiritual Ability
This is essentially their own version of chakra. Other than a source of limited energy that allows superior capabilities, it is completely different than chakra. This energy is the source of all of their abilities. It's different in color for everyone, and not everyone has the same abilities (although everyone does have or have access to certain abilities). Unlike chakra, Reinou is impossible to see by anyone other than other Seirei Members, which makes seeing it impossible to even someone that can see chakra. Unlike with chakra, hand signs are required to use techniques. Instead, mere concentration.

Jutsu Classes
Their jutsu are generally different from a normal shinobi's. Some are the same though.
Ninjutsu: Nothing really different in terms of normal ninjutsu (however...be sure to look at Reinou Elements).
Taijutsu: Use Reinou rather than stamina.
Genjutsu: Rather than affecting someone's mind, they effect the real-world perception of people. This means their illusions are technically real and are perceived by everyone, even by themselves. This is different than making genjutsu real, since these still don't end in physical injury, just trick people into thinking they're real. Effectively, the same thing happens...
Fuuinjutsu: Rather than using seals, they simply touch objects (or in some cases, do it without touching an object). Unlike with normal fuuinjutsu, they cannot place fuuinjutsu on people other than themselves.
Kenjutsu: Nothing different.
Juinjutsu: Nothing different.

Reinou Elements
For the most part, their elements are the same as average shinobi. If they want ice, they must also have water and wind, etc.
However, if they give up two elements (as in, it takes up two of the three slots allowed for elements), they can create their own element, having its own aspects. These must all be described in great detail, and they must be accepted as well.

Damaging Seirei Members
Due to not being physical, they cannot be physically harmed. Instead, they must spiritually be harmed (which basically means they must be affected by chakra). Certain techniques affect them, certain ones don't. If the technique requires physical contact (the person actually touching the target), then it doesn't work against them. Things like blinding techniques, paralysis techniques, etc, still work against them, although the effects may be slightly changed in certain situations.
I can't lay out every possibility, so it's best to ask me (BJW81_RawR) if certain effects are reasonable.

Stamina & Aging & Organs
The Seirei does not have stamina. This disallows them from getting tired, whether being a lack of breath or strain in the muscles. This allows them to physically fight forever, and it removes the need for sleep.
Furthermore, it effects their aging. While they do seem to age in appearance, they do not literally age. Until they reach the age of 20, they seem to age just like humans...after the age of 20, it slows down considerably, perhaps only appearing to age a single year within what would be at least ten years, although it hasn't been specifically measured and it's believed that no one in the race ages identically. They can live on forever until they are killed by other means. This also means that none of their "organs" lose efficiency. Since they do not lose efficiency, that means they cannot gain efficiency either; as such, all "organs" are fully grown and capable at birth, allowing them to talk, think, etc. like someone in their prime (although they still must learn what words mean and whatnot).
As for muscles, it's quite odd. Much like organs, they do not actually exist, although their "physical" capabilities are still limited. For instance, they can only run so fast, jump so high, etc. This ironically, however, does not place a burden on their ability to lift objects (trying to lift the Earth or any other planet with gravity simply makes you do a handstand >.> wink . Similarly, lifting an object means literally lifting it...not pulling it out of the ground. Meaning if a normal human cannot do it without the aid of a technique, you cannot either. No ripping trees out of the ground, pulling buildings out of the ground, pulling a supposed magical sword out of a stone, etc.)

Thought Process & Memory
They think very differently than most humans. They can easily multitask when it comes to thinking; surprisingly, they do not have any sort of intellectual superiority over humans. This allows them to gather information on anything they sense nearly instantly (e.g. they can read everything they see as if it was a single word, not a large page of information; they can distinguish sounds, smells, tastes, and feelings all at once, even with more than one present, etc.). Furthermore, their memory, however, is unlike most humans. They simply do not forget anything, whether it's an event, something they read, or a word they learned. As such, they can master a language within only a few hours...or at least the vocabulary.

Genjutsu Against Them
Since they do not technically have a brain, at least not a physical one, genjutsu cannot affect it; however, since genjutsu does effect a person's energy (in their case, their Reinou), it does impact their ability to use Reinou. They cannot use techniques ranked equally or higher than the rank of a genjutsu successfully used against them for two posts. Using more than one genjutsu on them at a time does not increase or stack the effects, making it pointless to do so.

Sense of Feeling
Since members of Seirei don't literally touch things, they developed a difference sense of feeling or touch. Anything that moves through their body (not necessarily all the way through), they immediately know aspects of the object. This includes exact shape, weight, size (dimensions), and what it is (for this last one, they have to experience it beforehand to know what it is).

Graduation
Rather than going through an academy, higher Seirei members train their youngsters. It's required actually, although it doesn't have to occur at a specific age, as long as entry is before the age of eight. During this time, they are taught both basic techniques and forced to further their kekkei genkai. Those who cannot graduate within two years (meaning by at least the age of ten for some), they are looked on as a waste of time, essentially. At this point, the higher-ups first search for anyone who wants to take in the child, normally village academies or high-ranked shinobi looking for disciples (yes, outside of the Nexus). Other times, although rare, members of other races are willing to take them in. In the end, if no one is willing to do so, one of two things happen. They are either killed or banished (they are actually branded with a fuuinjutsu called Shimanagashi that disallows entry to any Seirei establishment).

Mating & Birth
They do not mate like humans, and they can actually mate as early or as late as they want to, although Seirei has a rule on this; any mating done before the age of 20 results in banishment from Seirei (also resulting in being branded by Shimanagashi). Unlike humans, mating results in the conception of a child or children 100% of the time. Furthermore, both males and females can give birth to a child. Also unlike humans, their number of children per birth can reach to the hundreds (the most any woman has produced is 666; due to their religion, all of the babies were killed). Despite this, they keep their population in check with a ritual (see depopulation).
Mating occurs in a very peculiar way. Despite having genitals identical to humans (and as varied in appearance), they serve no purpose; this means that they cannot mate outside of the race. Instead, they completely merge bodies. To prevent this from accidentally being done, they must also circulate Reinou throughout their entire body while being merged (circulating Reinou throughout one's entire body only normally occurs during mating, making it unlikely to happen outside of mating, although it's still possible). Additionally, the conception and birth of a child occurs in exactly one month, not about 9 months. At birth, rather than a baby coming out of a woman's genitalia or stomach physically, the baby essentially falls out, marking their obtaining of the race's first stage of the Kekkei Genkai.

Depopulation
The Seirei can have hundreds of children, but how many children they can raise is limited, essentially. Children are killed if they do not pass several requirements.
1. Since children are sometimes formed improperly, the Seirei has every child perform a few simple tasks. Before this, however, babies sometime plummet to their own death due to not being able to produce Reinou or use the Floating ability (thus not being able to stand on a solid surface). Some of the tasks include speaking, generating Reinou, performing the floating ability, etc. They also test mating (the only time someone under 20 can mate, although all the babies are killed), memory, etc. This generally cuts about 30% of the children (each given percentage is based on the initial amount of babies conceived - the number used doesn't change after each stage).
2. They are given an intellectual test. Those that cannot pass are killed. Tests normally test their ability to work out of a situation using knowledge told to them beforehand. This is done both verbally and written. This cuts about 20% of the children.
3. They are given a physical test. This ranges from tests that measure their speed, their ability to jump, swim, etc. Sometimes children are killed in the tests, but most are killed by the members of the race if the children do not meet adequate potential. This cuts about 30%.
4. During this stage, the children are pitted in a free-for-all battle against one another to test their ability to mix intellect with physicality. Each member picks one, specific weapon to use, and any tactic is acceptable. The battle is stopped when 10% of the children are left, although this doesn't necessarily stop the children from killing more before they can be separated. Killing is generally done using Reinou.
5. By this stage, about 10% of the children are left. At which point, Seirei members selectively narrows it down to 1% based on who performed the best; this leads to anywhere from 0 to 6 children remaining. In general, for every 100 children left after stage four, only 1 child remains after stage five. The only time they round is if it's below 100; in which case, if the number is higher than 25, they pick the best one, if not, they kill them all.
This process leads to nearly every children being essentially a prodigy when compared to humans or other time gods. Since they must pass several tests to live, it weeds out the weak and incapable. This isn't always perfect; sometimes more prominent children are killed while inferior ones survive (this mainly occurs during the free-for-all battle...but can also occur if someone's intellectual and physical potential isn't measured adequately).

Language
They take pride in learning every possible language, mainly because they can. As such, it's very common for members of the Seirei to know plenty of languages, even ones that haven't been spoken in centuries. Furthermore, they have their own language as well, although they only speak it to themselves, not to others, making it very unlikely for someone else to know the language.

Religion
They are theistic; however, unlike most religions, they do not praise or worship the gods they believe in (they actually believe in practically every thinkable god). Instead, they think of them as equals. At the same time, they don't think of humans as inferior, merely ignorant.
Despite being Time Gods, they don't look at themselves as Gods. They don't think other Time Gods are really gods either. Rather, they think that they are just like normal shinobi, just with different abilities. The idea is plausible, especially since even among shinobi, there are obviously different abilities.

Hierarchy
This will be decided later, depends on a few things.
I want there to be a leader, but that's only gonna happen if someone is willing to RP as the leader...or if I eventually create an NPC profile.
If neither of those occur, the race will be leaderless.
