Respect http://lifetwo.com/production/node/20080120-have-i-wasted-twenty-years-as-a-homemaker I was just reading the comments on the above site, and the second one struck me as quite ironic. "Unless you have had a job or have worked, I hate to break the news to you, BUT no one respects you." Right, because no matter what, if you have a job, you're GUARANTEED respect. rolleyes What a sad life it must be to base your self-worth on validation from others. Being a mother might be a thankless job, but being a stay-at-home mother is a lot more respectable than someone who only works for themselves.

Guessing the comments have changed since then.

I actually have very little advice to give or an opinion to form. Since I honestly don't know what to say.

I worked once in my life, but I didn't need to work to have self-respect, or to have people respect me.

It's a matter of opinion, people who speak in opinions but state them as facts, are always too cocky for their own good.
