"...I wouldn't expect you to understand what Central really stands for, seeing as you've only recently come to the area. You're arriving under inopportune circumstances at a very bad time. Central isn't a place of violence from one group towards another, not by its very nature. At the moment, things are rough...there is violence occurring against supernatural beings, those associated with the occult or arcane, and those who associate with the afflicted as well. But that's not the real Central.
The real Central, the one we will get back to, is a city founded on the understanding that beings of all races, creeds, backgrounds, abilities, beliefs, and so on can live side by side, together, in a productive, open, and innately good society. Go ahead, invite people to Mana if you'd like. But I think you'll find that once the person responsible for this outbreak of anti-non-mundane sentiment has been eliminated, and Central has been returned to its former glory as 'the Border City' emigrants will return to their lives in Central. The process will happen slowly. Repairs between groups will happen even slower. Peace will be shaky and tensions will be high for a while...but make no mistake about this, and mark me well, as long as there is one person left in Central who believes in the values on which the town was created, just one, the residents will gradually return, and we'll rebuild together. All of us. Mundanes, psychics, mages, summoners, necromancers, demons, devils, angels, Fae, ghosts, the Touched, artificial and genetically engineered beings, the undead, everyone.
Mana won't find many residents moving to it from our city. "

[i:bc71ceae39]The feeling of dread Russ was experiencing earlier has only gotten worse as the night has progressed. Unable to put himself at ease, Russell clears a spot on his living room floor, digs out a piece of chalk, and tries to figure out what is happening the supernatural way. The phoenix, Maiar, shows up shortly after. Death and Rebirth. A New Beginning.[/i:bc71ceae39][/align:bc71ceae39]
