Gaia-zine dead—or just reincarnated?

By GT Publisher

xxxGaia-zine, a monthly Gaian Magazine, recently closed it's doors in the wake of a recent scandal. Self-styled CEO Amensu Saje, banned from Gaia for embezzling from the guild, but returned in the account iAmensu Saje, declared the closure of Gaia-zine last week.
xxxCoincidentally, a new magazine named Gaian Illustrator opened shop the very same day. Gaia Illustrator's CEO? iAmensu Saje. It's staff list? Near-exactly the same as Gaia-zine's.
xxxCommon belief is that iAmensu Saje gave up on Gaia-zine among the barrage of negative press from his embezzlement. Will a 'fresh start' help?
xxx"I doubt it," said an anonymous source. "People new to the magazine industry won't know about his theft, but the established, influential people do. Saje is the object of a lot of scorn and derision right now, and magazines depend heavily on the goodwill of their advertisers. I give this new guild three months to go under."
xxxGaian Illustrator is in the middle of a laughable attempt to sell itself as a new company, but it's an unspoken knowledge that this is just Gaia-zine, back for one more round.

Making use of the Cash Shop Cleanup

By GT Publisher

xxxYesterday, Gaia announced that the Cash Shop will remove a long list of items on Friday. Full list here. Prices for those items have jumped abruptly, usually by 25-30k. What's a smart investor to do?
xxxFirst, don't get caught in the bubble. It will end on Friday, leaving you losses most likely around 30-50k.
xxxThe theory behind the frantic buying is simple. Once the supply disappears, the demand should stay about the same, and the price will rise. What's not so simple, however, is that many people are doing this. That means that on Saturday, lots of impatient investors will try to take advantage of the price spike they are expecting, and sell off their items. A large supply, and the same demand means prices drop.
xxxIf you want to hoard those items, buy on Saturday or Sunday. Short-term hoards (a week or so,) are risky, as people may be dissatisfied with their profits and try to wait out the price drop.
