never again to peer up
a shy twinkling in the sky

a shaking beam of piercing light
blinds the one whom runs away
awaiting in darkness
the cooling black
a night with no stars
no moon to see the past
hidden away within
one whom waits for the soft light
cradle the one in the dark
it turns a cheek
as the glow softly caresses
the sickening emptiness feels less
a duo to rid the sinking hell
they dance together
twirling around each other
an epitome of companionship
ah once more
dance together
until the light fades
then darkness reigns again
