Many people have been calling eachother Trolls over the past couple of years. I have used the phrase myself on several occasions while also calling myself this. But what I have discovered is that it is being taken out of it's original context and used as an online bullying tool.
Recently I have come up with a good definition of the true online troll.
A true online troll is someone who uses facts and information they have gathered, back someone into a corner while having a friendly argument.
Over the past year, the troll's definition has changed. It has gone from playful dibates to online bullying.
A newer and fake troll is someone who insults another person online to try and make them angry or depressed. This can be considered Online Bullying.
Another definition of the troll i have seen recently has been used to describe people who are looking for attention. Such as people asking others to hate them. And when the others refuse, the people try and get a rise out of them to get their way and to get attention.
