I have not been on in a while--this place does not do much if you do not have any buds.
Regardless, I have my coffee next to me and a sunbeam pushing through my curtains. It is another early morning for me--7:20 greeted me with swiftness and I did not push it away. Although not always easy to do, I do enjoy biding my time in the wee hours. The sun is beautiful and soft-hearted, everyone is fresh, and good air abounds. It's taken me a while to understand that the night is not my time. While once I enjoyed its company, I now prefer the morn's.
I am almost finished with Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. My friends have told me to read it, and it has taken about 2 years for me to grab it up. I am glad that I have. While it has taken a bit for my mind to bend into the words of the early 1800s, by now I am accustomed to the awkward sentence structures. Awkward only because I am unfamiliar, not because they are lacking beauty or correctness. It's true that you cannot find writing like this anymore. And any time I might try to write in such a way it will become shot down by the English critics of the day.
Speaking of which, I have Advanced Writing today. I can sense we will be reading another essay from the Best American Essays 2011, which is among my favorite activities for that class.
