Airx Began on his journey through the frozen Escalon, on his way to retrieve The King. It would take 4 days to traverse the entire distance for Airx and he knew he'd be there with time to spare so he decided to slow down in an old city, He would visit the sleeping city of Verthal.
"Ahhh old Verthal, I remember training here......the city hasn't aged- Well...it's lost its spirit but someday It'll thrive again like is.." Airx took a moment touched his back to examine a scar that went from his right hip, to his back, shoulders, and winded down by his heart. "Hopefully it doesnt pulse. Please oh please....but in the meantime i'll have to remenience another time" The scar was representative of Escalonians who drift into time warped zones and miraculously escape an unfortunate fate, but rather build a slight resistance, slight being the key word.
"Time Shield Up." Airx wore body armor for this trip, but it wasnt for defense......not conventionally anyway but rather for the scar. If he were to get close to a time anomaly or to a warp, it pulses when near a time disturbance, the pulse being an almost crippling pain. The armor is mearly there for relieving pain more then anything else.
There are perks to being in any of the Elite Zero classes. It being that they have a few tricks up their sleeve to further express superiority. One of them being able to venture into territory lost to time since going through the void causes some escalonian cities to burn out. They leave the city until the area is "reborn". But until that time comes the city is time warped, pieces corrupted and hazardous to walk through unprotected."Ah Verthal, the city of Aspiring Artists." As Airx entered the city he noticed a touch of a Greek theme with the city mixed with- to their minds- a modern day style of technology. "Annnnd to some.....Also Verthal. The city that tried." It wasnt the most pleasant mix but further into the city the greek theme vanished, over shrouded by more futuristic floating structures and buildings.
Airx reached the main plaza, a perfect 360 degrees of Verthals heart. "Man the nostalgia, but I really hate knowing im in the center of a place, I hate knowing theres nothing deeper to explore!" He looked around and spun himself, deciding to at least enjoy his time to sight-see. He took in a huge breath of the air "Bleh! Its sta- oohhhh right. Frozen air does go in stale. Not fresh." He chuckled and started to leave the plaza when the armor responed

"Wait........a disturbance is incomi-"
*The pulsation of the scar is slightly audible*
"aaaahhhhh!" Airx knelt to the ground (It wouldn't pulsate like that unless....) and pulled out his blade, the blade was made out of Escalonian diamond with the edge being silver with slits along the edge allowing a fine pattern of silver and blue: a gift from his father. "s**t, this can't be good" Airx took a surrounding look, four buildings surrounded him and went on to the clouds barely kissing them except for one that held a dark shadow of was once a man of light.
/..Disturbance Recognized.....verifying.../
The darkness blew a hole out of the side of the building and the debris rained over Airx. He promptly used magic to create a shield over himself. "Not here, it shouldnt have happened....I froze time!" "Ahhhhhh, Mr. Rudant! Or should i say Captain Rudant? Its been a while hasnt it? I remember you as a captain. You had a squad with you as well, but of course its all just the past now." Airx scanned the area as much he could "yeah and I remember you taking orders for a living or I suppose you still do considering your nothing more then JUST a servant." The dark figure looked down angrily and flew towards airx and slammed its fist on Airx's blade as he blocked, the impact knocking airx off balance and when he recovered the figure was behind him and thrust a blade through his chest and shot a blast of darkness at airx with his other hand, launching him through the city. He crashed into a building and rolled to a stop and stood up coughing up blood. "Damn, nobody wants to just talk anymore" Airx healed himself and sprinted up the building he was in, it was a very wide building with each floor designed to be a Complete Hologram room, fit with nothing but various shaped dimly lit white rooms where light was utilized to create everything from the chair, to the desk and everything on it, unfortunately everything was dead. Airx ran as fast as he could but could hear the dark man slam through floors until he broke through right were airx was and grabbed him on the arm, threw Airx into the ceiling and as he fell back kicked him on his side as he tumbled across the ground. The figure walked to him, "oh Airx your not putting up much of a fight today. Why dont you fight fire with fire?" "No...not again, I can't dive into that insanity again." The man grimaced, "I wasn't asking you." The man said bitterly.
The man walked with purpose towards Airx as he pulled his blade up to face him and Airx teleported several times around him, a flicker randomly of him swinging the blade toward the figure here and there but the figure grabbed the blade and bent it. The dark figure fired an intense shot of darkness straight into Airx's chest, causing the darkness to envelop him until the two figures looked alike. Then, Airx pulled his head up, pieces of his former face still showing, fighting to keep control until his face was the only normal part in control, the rest of his body succumbed. "Erg-.......*growls* you wanted a fair fight then you- *grunts and voice deepens and calms* Then you just lost the chance." Airx re-bent the blade correctly and dissapeared, the room slowly began to darken until sparks of light from airxs sword began to show a brilliant light display as he slashed every single part of Raxxis's body slightly that he could and the walls in the room as they slowly ebbed away.
Airx shot out of the room before the walls were completely destroyed, his heart nothing more then a hum now as he landed cleanly on the city streets.
[This is different, this darkness......it's....different. It's..... it's becoming familiar.

Raxxis slamed down behind Airx and whirled around and blasted him in the back, sending him through several buildings until he came to an abrupt stop in the center of a small building. He rose up and kneeled a moment, examining himself. The darkness would solidify in some areas giving Airx an armor but the form wouldn't hold so it became an aura constantly.[Ive never had time to just notice this aura.....its almost alive on its own..]
Airx Winced [It's getting hard to stay in control here, at the brink.] Suddenly a voice appeared, slinking into his thoughts.
=Of course it's getting harder, YOU want to use MY power, YOU have to let go and let ME use it. Its not yours to just be a punching bag with you idiot! Do you even know anything of my style! You can't even fight in the form unless you've been trained in it which trust me, NO Escalonian could teach you. You know a Couple moves, congrats but really, you have a better chance of killing yourself then killing -......-, hes straining himself incase you couldnt tell, which- and don't bother saying otherwise, I know you couldn't tell. So I'll tell you what, let me take control, just relax and let your mind slip into comfort while I take care of things topsi-=
[Take control! No, absolutely not! I can't risk that and your just out to kill him! I need to know who this is and what else were dealing with and you'll ruin the mission, I can handle it myself. Besides hes not the only one strained. Stopping time isn't a walk in the park you know!]
=Im not going anywhere you know. You can act pure and whatever but you know your infected. I am you. The only way you can be stronger, strong enough to fight back is to either rely on light or darkness. Ill be frank. The fact you have light is astounding considering how long ive been influencing you, but its not something you can rely on. -Sigh- look, Ill cut you a truly fair deal. I let you in on some info about this man and get you near the checkpoint. Its the single most important detail about this guy I promise you. The catch however *it smiles* if you didnt already get it.....I take control from here to riiiight by the checkpoint.

[Airx mulled over it. Dammit......fine! But im getting out sooner then the last checkpoint!]
Sure Airxy. Tell yourself that. Now. Just slip, relax and ill take it from here. Airx looked away from his enemy and let his mind slip slowly as the darkness ripped him from consciousness.
Airx ran towards Raxxis and slid right under him, kicked up right behind him and nonchalantly placed his hand on his back, slightly pushing him. Raxxis stopped and turned around "Dont toy with me Rudant!" The figure spoke for itself "Airx isnt here anymore oh-and" he smiled deviously "Don't slip" "what?" A blast hit Raxxis's back sending him towards the figure who slammed Raxxis face into the ground and let him keep skidding "Also I dont toy around, old man" Raxxis spun his legs to flip back up and teleported behind him while the figure intercepted it and punched him in the chest, pushing him back a bit. "Come on Old man that doesnt mean s**t to me if your doing old things. So come on, im sure you know some new tricks!" Raxxis summoned his blade and whirled it around. "Thats it? Fancy, ill give you tha-" the blade shot the figure in the chest he grabbed the grip right before it went all the way though.
He looked at the blade, it was blood red and had no hilt, just shoddy rags. He grabbed it and pulled it out of his chest. "Grr. Oh my goood" He smiled again "haha, hahaha! That was good!
