Remember us and your name
You feel sad and lost
Yet we love you just the same
Sit before us, oh, child,
In your whites, bathed in salt
Listen and let us ease your pain
Remember what you've been taught
Come here, oh, sweet child,
Let us gaze upon your face and heart
Trust that we'll guide you before Ma'at
All evils, together, we will thwart
Be brave, oh, fearful child,
We'll soothe the ills that come in the night
Trust in yourself and in those of your blessed dead
To overcome your many frights
Be at peace, oh, child,
As you light incense and candles
Pour your libations diligently
To rid yourself of soul deep trembles
We love you, oh, earthly child,
Us netjeru and spirits abound
Pay your respects and send up your prayers
So that your true heart can be found.
