The soft padding of feet against earth..snow ... the crackle of fire hissing against the fog that loomed over part of the dark forest, making it seem almost impossible to see through. It ran, its paws pushing through the dark earth , mmmm it thought .. how long had it been since it had felt the earth, smelled fresh air, had felt freedom like this. It began to run faster and faster, its large heart beating in its chest, flames consuming it from every side. If anyone had been unlucky enough to wonder in these parts of the forest , the only thing they would see was a giant ball of flame hurtling through the thick fog. But if it was to freeze. to glance in anyone's direction. Per say a woman sitting alone with her child. They would see a massive wolf. With blazing eyes and skin so hot it could melt the flesh off of anyone's bones. If the large creature was to stand up on its front paws it would be as tall as the average man. Its weight weighing in over five hundred pounds.

But it wasnt planning on stopping , It felt freedom .. and most of all .. hunger . It was after something. Something in the shadows .. no .. the shadows themselves. Hurtling through the black nothingness like a bowling ball, it began to snap at the darkness. Shriekings of pure horror echoed off the trees as the fire demon began devouring the darkness, sucking it into its large maw. Mmmm it thought .. been so long since ive feasted upon things such as this..

It thought back .. back to when there where three of them three Patru Lup's.. Thats what they called them back then. They where worshiped as gods in the Arctic Circle. Giant spirit wolfs of pure fire, who would venture into the village from time to time, taking over the body's of the male villagers while they mated, producing the Patru Copii... the fire children... The fire children where so strong. With fire like abilities past down from the Patru Lup's themselves. The villagers thought this a blessing .. until they had let themselves forget .. forget the old ways .. of who they used to worship ...

Suddenly, there was a crackling in the bushes not far from the beast. Had it been a small woodland creature stepping on a twig? Surely not , any sane animal would have sensed the oncoming danger and dashed off to hide in its burrow till the spirit had found another place to linger. It sniffed lightly at the air before moving forward , the ground beneath it shaking lightly under its massive weight. The trees parted to give view of a man noisily unpacking his back-pack full of supplies. He seemed to be setting up camp in the area. Can he .. not see me .. hear me , nor smell.. The Patru Lup laughed loudly at the mans ignorance , soon causing the man to stop in his infernal rummaging to look up with alarm. It was too late. Within seconds hes eyesight became filled with the sight of fire .. it was over.
