Saturday was open for new pledges as normal, they were already gluing themselves all over Beta Rho. Still, I'm not surprised. We are considered the best collegiate group in campus. My arm flashes constantly to grip everyone's hands. Soon enough, a flurry of golden curls and carnation patterns glide into my view. "Did you get any good candidates?" I always make sure she chooses what is proper. She flips her hair behind her and smirks. "Only a few... They seemed so nervous I could drown in their sweat dragged clothes! You know I would rather be exfoliating right now." I recognize the huffs in her voice all too well. "Yes," I cross over to the stairwell in the midsection of the hallway. "I know this. But we need at least thirty fresh faces here that loom like they should belong. You know how important that is." "Yeah, yeah. And Sara did pick up a good fifteen that look like they should be on skin care commercials! They glow so well I should go ask them for advice... And then give them some of my own!" Destiny twirled around as the back of her dress hit her legs. I couldn't help but call off after her though. "Play nice! Find Good pledges!" I give a good push off the stair railing and smooth out my skirt and bodice. A baby blue dress hues in comparison to my royal blue as both hands interlock around my neck and just as fast, detach. "I found some! Did you hear? Did you see!" She could almost jump with excitement. "Well I think I know who gets a new manicure.. And we can celebrate tomorrow after I make sure our group is prepared for Monday's exam." Her smile twinkles and I knew, we would be just fine for the end of rush.
My hair was a mess. As usual... 5:30 in the morning always kicks my a**. But I learn to keep a smile.
