Well, I have a bit to talk about since the last journal entry.
Firstly, for the first time ever, I had a voice chat with Saara.
It was beyond the most amazing night I ever had... and after hearing her voice, I feel like I am that much more prepared to finally see her in real life, when she's ready to come down.
The not so good news is that that was two weeks ago, and I haven't spoken to her since then... :/
I have no idea if she's okay or not.... I hope she is... and I hope her leg is getting better.....
In other events, I recently aquired an old laptop from 1997 that my friend had..
I'm in the process of fixing it, and I expect to receive the replacement part I ordered for it tomorrow. I'm hoping the problem is the LCD inverter, which is causing the screen's back light to not function correctly...
I'm also working on fixing an old RCA video camera from 1987. The camera basically works fine, all except for the actual mechanism that turns the tape... For some reason it's having trouble turning the tape at full speed. I'm experimenting with the drive belt in the VCR mechanism of the camera to see if that may have something to do with it... That belt seems a bit loose...
