I've got a l o v e l y bunch of coconuts..
This is anything I want it to be.
IN PROGRESS
1. Blood and other drugs

Vampires, by definition of the word, need blood to survive. There are "vegetarian" vampires, and non vegetarian vampires. There are also those omnivores. Now, these differences are signifigant and you'll see why later. However, even though they drink blood and need blood to survive, they do need actual food and normal drinks to survive, since their bodies are mostly alive, and living bodies need to have food and other sustenance.

2. Eyes are the window to the soul

The real way to tell a vampire from a human at first glance is their eyes. "Vegetarian" vampires that have never tasted human blood have eyes that just kinda glow. Non-"vegetarian" vampires have eyes that glow slightly and have stripes through them. Omnivores, even if they predominantly drink one blood type or another, have spikes coming out from their pupils. All eyes stay the same color they were when the vampire was alive. Or they were born with. When they lose control, their eyes glow an insanely bright color that is nearly dazzling to humans.

3. Bite me baby, and drink all my blood!

There are different types of bites.
Turning bite A special venom is secreted during this sort of bite that enters the victim when they are bitten and thus turns them. When they turn it is excruciating, since they are really being killed. Some people cannot survive the change and do die. Other's die for a few moments before there hearts beat again, and they wake up. Note, that despite having their own blood still flowing through their veins, when bew borns are first changed they are uncontrollable, more powerful than most vampires (only those over a thousand years old stand a chance), and have an insane thirst. Unless your goal is to kill a bunch of people, you better have blood waiting for them. Animal blood is just fine. But if there is a human around, they will be the food.

Feeding bite Now, since this bite is literally just fangs siphoning blood from a vein, it can be a very painful bite but it can also be paired with any of the turning bite or the erotic bite. It CAN, technically, also be used with the 'sharky' bite, but does not tend to work as well.

Erotic bite Biting can be painful, especially with fangs designed to extract blood. This bite is most often used with the feeding bite. With the erotic bite a special venom is secreted that when it enters the victim, or other vampire's blood stream when used simply for naught vampire purpose ;P, increases the adrenaline and heightens sensitivity and makes everything much more pleasurable. It really creates the emotions you'd expect from it's name. And it can become very addictive, thus how vampires can develop 'feeders' that are willing to be food. This is also how they trap people to stay with them and woo their victims before changing them.

"Sharky" bite This bite get's it's name from how a vampire looks when in this mode. This comes out when they are angry and lose control, or when they intentionally let go and go into their fighting "mode". In this bite, all of their teeth elongate and become fang like, resembling a shark's mouth, hence the name. This is also where their eyes nearly look like they've caught fire and where a vampire least resembles a human. Their fingers taper off to sharp points creating claws. They'd kill their best friend if they weren't careful in this form.

4. They have fangs dammit, and they're always there.

5. Twinkle Twinkle *silence as strangled*

Unlike Edward, in the first Twilight movie especially, vampires do not sparkle in sunlight, and they certaintly do not make a twinkling sound. However, they are much more sensitive to light than humans and burn much easier. However, it is not an instant sort of thing, so vampires can be out in the sunlight for short periods of time.

6. It's a baby!

Vampires can get pregnant and don't have to use the immortality of Frankenstein's monster like in Van Helsing. They are born like any other child, not in giant..sacks. The only difference is that vampire pregnancies happen in hyper speed. When a vampire gets another vampire pregnant, it only takes three months. When a vampire gets a human pregant though, because human bodies are not dead and don't help slow down the process, their pregnancy only lasts about a week. Which, as you can imagine, can make things very difficult for a human, especially since their body also isn't as tough to handle a vampiric baby, so more often than not a human in labor with a vampiric baby will not survive.

Now, there are different types of vampire babies. When a vampire is a pureblood vampire, and they mate with another natural born vampire, their baby will be a normal vampire. With a vampire and a human there will be a vampire born. Now, say two vampires mate, but they had at one point been humans. Their child will be more of a super human. These babies are not vampires, but they do have powers. They can sense those around them. See better, hear better, etc. etc.

I must say, Your version of vampires is intriguing. It reminded me that there was a fastet I left out of my description. To keep things clean on gaia; but, when a female is bitten while she is in heat/ovulating it makes her body do very interesting things. wink

I love the 'sharky' mode. *swipes it*.
