Be careful of what you write, sometimes it might come true
The day seemed so short, and before she knew it, she was in the library. Alice researched people who had no dreams and even creative minds that dreamed a lot. She went through mental illnesses wondering if there was even such a thing to play into her story; yet, she didn’t want it to be any other mental condition that wasn’t insanity. Alice sighed, and kept researching. She pulled out her previous start of the story and threw it out; keeping her new one she did in English. There was still so much to add; she went through the paper and butchered certain parts.
In three hours she managed to get the first chapter done and went out of the library that was closing. “See you later, Shape Shifter,” the librarian said warmly. Alice gave her a respectful nod and parted, her mother already waiting outside. She looked briefly at the papers she had collected and butchered, making sure she still had all of the pages. After Alice was sure, she waved goodbye to the librarian as he locked up.
“He seems fond of you,” her mother said, “be careful, Allie.” Alice put on a distant stare out of the window, annoyed that her mother would say such things. Still, her mother had an excellent point; he was a young attractive man, though a little on the nerd side he had a very warm smile and was surprisingly handsome himself. Sighing, Alice’s mind dwelled back to her story.
”Madeline…” he started shyly. Luis was trying to overcome his shyness enough to explain what was happening to him. “Louie dear, what is it?” Madeline replied nervously. "I have nowhere else to go...You're the only one left I can trust." She shifted uncomfortably, "Yes?" There was a long silence as he looked up at her, head tilted down. He mouthed small words to himself then finally said, "You have to believe me, out of everyone else; you can't believe what everyone else says, they don't know...Madeline." She backed away, disgusted and nervous. "No, Luis, I can't do this anymore, I'm sorry. Please, just stay away from me." Staring at her with hurt eyes, he looked away falling into a vast darkness. "I...I'm sorry, good bye, Maddie..." he could've cried, but he left intact wishing that he hadn't had spoken.
Alice sighed, she was trying to tap into her story a dramatic way; to make this scene was so realistic. Still, she remembered that this situation has happened before between her friend Adam and a girl. After careful planning, she finally decided upon keeping that part of her story in hopes to perhaps change his perspective on the ordeal.
The night grew long, stars streaked across the sky, as Alice wrote. Time stood still yet was endless for her. Her pen worked through the paper piece after piece creating her vision and thoughts. Soon she was butchering, bleeding red pen on her paper, rereading over and over until her thoughts were leveled with the storyline. Now her papers were colored red as she continued to butcher and rewrite her masterpiece into a more organized section. Everything started to blur and she found herself passing out so late at night.
