Wow...I haven't made an entry in like...2 years? Near the end of 08...it's already 2011...

Well, what's happened? Alot I guess. I moved to Grandma's house in late 09 after I finished school. She wanted me to be here, so I'm here. I kept the same job, just transfered to a branch here in CA. But the commute is bad...it's 20 miles on the freeway to get to work, that uses alot of gas. And gas prices are NOT cheap here. (We're one of the worst in the country) I can't find a better job, and I'm barely living paycheck to paycheck.
I also can't be me here. I want a cat, but Grandma hates cats...so no cats. No pets. I can't decorate my room the way I want, or it's viewed as clutter, Grandma refuses to have her house messy. So the emptier my room, the better. I'm a caged bird here. I want to spread my wings, but I can't.
So I've decided to move back to NV and rent an apartment with a friend who also is having living issues of her own with her current landlord. I estimate I'll be moving mid-late Feb. New year, new life.
I'm also going to transfer to the original candy store, under the same boss, she wants me back, seeing I'm her personal techie, and I'm quite loveable. blaugh So I've got my boss, a fellow associate who was there to see me off in 09, and my friend are all also making lists of places to look at. So next week, I will be going back to NV for a few days so we can look at places.
This should be a fun new type of life, and I'm looking forward to it!

As for work, the store here in CA is different from the one in NV. Older style (no renovations yet), weak A.C., outdoors mall (big pain in the butt when it rains). Took me awhile to adjust to the new look and slightly different workings of this new location. But it's been fun too, I like the people I work with, and I get amazing freedom to merchandise (rearrange walls to look pretty), since I do make it look good, and the manager here likes my merchandising.
Also, we do so much more advertising, like attending events, and making up special offers (often behind corporate's back, but even if they find out, they usually agree to let us continue it anyways, lol). Both stores have their ups and downs, I'll be just as sad leaving this store, as I was the store I am returning to.
But this is a choice I am sure of. When I moved here, even though I was moving in with a loved one, it just didn't seem too right. But now that I'm moving back, it does feel right. I doubt I'll stay in NV my whole life, but for the time being, that is where I belong.
