Somehow on Christmas, Vexen was returned to life! He dosen't know how, and says it might be temporarey, but whatever the circumstances, I'm glad he's back. He's a lot more emotional now that he can use the heart within mine.
It's sad that neither of us have a 'real' heart. Not like people born naturally. It didn't bother me a lot, since I seem to do fine with the one I have. But Vexen told me of a book called The Dark Prognosticus and that it could summon something called The Heart of Chaos. Vexen said I could use that as my heart, then I would be complete and stronger. As my own enitity, I wouldn't be so easily controlled by Chaos, then I could assimilate him instead.
I went to the Mushroom Kingdom with Styles, Redd, and Mono to find it. Once Styles realized I didn't know very much about the book, he said it was dangerous and that I shouldn't seek it. Before he could leave, he stupidly stood in the middle of the road and got crushed by a truck. Fortunately he only turned into a Boo because of his magic clothes, so he'll be ok. Oddly he's a pink Boo, and is very sleepy.
Before Styles died, he told me that Dimentio had written the book. I'll ask him about it when I next see him, but until then I asked Vexen. He said that I shouldn't use the book either, that it was just an option. Both he and Style believe I can get stronger on my own until I evolve to the point where I'm complete. They reminded me that I have friends that give me strength too.
I'm disappointed that I can't be complete sooner rather than later, but Vexen and Styles are right. I'll keep moving foreward with my friends.
I've been investigating a new world in the same multiverse as Superboy Prime. It's almost like all other DC worlds, but theres something strange about it. It's constantly in flux, like when the Multiverse was changing from Primes punchs. It's growing stronger, but I fear the constant changes will tear this world apart. I must investigate it throughly before then.
I met one of my alternate selves there. I don't know her real name, but she goes by the alias of Crimson Lightning. She, like many other humans on that Earth, was empowered by Brainiacs exobytes from the future. She gained the power of a speedster ala the Flash, but she is no mere metahuman. Crimson has become a being of pure Speed Force, making her glow orange-red. She weilds a staff, using it's fast fighting style to her advantage. To make up for her lack of raw power, Crimson creates fire with friction and controls it by manipulating air flow with her super speed. She's pretty spunky, and I will be sad when her world ends.
