Last Time on Tropical Disaster...
My poor baby! Xavier has a cavity, and now its up to Alex to pull it out. I'm a little nervous to say the least. After all, Alex may be my "son" and he is pretty smart for his age, and lets face it. In the end of the day he isn't a certified perfessional. If that wasn't enough to worry about, I still have to find a way to help Jenny. I'm not buying that she doesn't have a crush on anyone. EVERYONE already sees that she's into Xavier. Can I fix this alone...? Hmm...I think its time I pay a visit to Rei!
(IN A CLEARING OF THE JUNGLE)
Lisa: "We're back! And we found a herb that might do the trick."
Jenny:: "Cloves?"
Peter: "Yes. I was chewing on a small piece the other day, and if you eat enough, eventually your teeth nerve's go numb for a few moments. I gave it to Derek and Tyler to study, and if mine and Derek's hunch is correct, it should numb Xavier's gums just long enough to remove the tooth."
Xavier: "Should?!?!?! You're not even sure?!?!?!"
Lisa: "Oh come on Xavier. Be a man!"
*LISA FLEXES FOR DRAMATIC EFFECT*
Alex: "Will you relax bro? I got it covered."
Xavier: "Sure, and if you mess up people won't be calling Diego crippled anymore, it will be you."
Alex: "I still think that the idea Synova, Derek, and Tyler had for cruches were simple genius. Who knew that just a sharp rock would carve a crutch out of a thicker branch?"
Xavier: "Will you hush up, and get this over with."
Alex: "Whats your hurry? You have to eat the cloves first, remember?"
*XAVIER TAKES THE CLOVES, LOOKS AT THEM FUNNY, AND TAKES A BITE*
Jenny: "Just think of it as an odd looking salad."
Xavier(SARCASIM): "Oh thanks, that really gets my appitite going."
*JENNY SNICKERS*
(A FEW MOMENTS LATER)
Alex: "You all numbed yet?"
Xavier: "Enough to quit eating this."
*XAVIER TOSSES CLOVES ONTO THE GROUND*
Lisa: "Aww come on, I was going to give the rest to Rei to put in Keith's dinner."
*XAVIER LAUGHS AS HE SITS ON THE STUMP, AND LEANS BACKWARD OPENING HIS MOUTH*
Alex: "Since we don't have any sort of blacksmithing, I'm stuck using my fingers."
Xavier: "I don't want your nasty fingers in my mouth! I don't know where they've been?!"
Alex: "Why's it got to be my nasty fingers in your mouth? Why can't it be, my fingers in your nasty mouth."
Lisa: "Oh will you two quit acting like boys and get this over with before the cloves wear off?"
*XAVIER FEELING DISGUSTED, LEANS HIS HEAD BACK AND OPENS WIDE, AS ALEX GETS AN UNCOMFORTABLE EXPRESSION, AND BEGINS TO MESS WITH THE TOOTH*
Alex: "Okay...here it goes...one...two...three!"
*ALEX PULLS OUT THE TOOTH AND XAVIER SCREAMS AS THE TOOTH POPS INTO ALEX'S HAND*
Alex: "I got it!"
Lisa: "Eww..."
*PETER COVERS HIS EYES AND XAVIER FIDGETS AROUND AS A LITTLE BIT OF BLOOD SLIPS DOWN HIS CHIN*
Jenny: "Oh my gosh! Xavier, are you okay?!"
*JENNY KNEELS DOWN NEXT TO XAVIER, PULLS HIM CLOSE, AND STARTS KISSING HIS CHEEK OVER AND OVER THEN EVERYONE GASPS, AND XAVIER'S EYES OPEN WIDE*
Jenny: Oh my gosh...I didn't really just do that...did I?
*JENNY LETS GO OF XAVIER AND STANDS UP QUICKLY*
Jenny: "Umm...well...I...I'm glad to see that you're okay Xavier, and that you are now cavity free...so...umm...if you all will just excuse me...I...I am...needed...umm...in the...place, with the thing...umm...see ya!"
Jenny: Way to go you moron. Now everyones going to be gossiping about it.
Xavier: She just kissed my cheek, and not just once!!!
Alex: Xavier's tooth is kind of nasty looking, and its some what shaped like a little brick.
Lisa: Well Tiffani is probably going to jump for joy when I tell her about this.
Peter: Did I miss something?
*OVER IN SOME NEAR BY BUSHES*
Me: YES, YES, YES!!! A kiss on the cheek!!! I was so right!!! She does like Xavier!!! And based by his current expression, I say he thinks of her too. But, how do I get them together?
*FOOTSTEPS BEHIND ME*
Kiera: "Umm...Tiffani...why are you in a bush?"
Me: "Oh! Hi guys! Because it was lonely thats why. So whats up?"
Miranda: "Well we heard Xavier's scream, so we thought that the dental work must be done by now, and that you'd be free."
Me: "Yeah."
Thomas: "We came to tell you that we got the building done!"
Me: "Thats awesome guys! Someone needs to go tell Keila the good news, and gather everyone for an announcement! In the mean time, I need to go ask Jenny about something."
Tony: "All right. See you there in a few minutes."
I had to find Jenny. Now that I had evidence that she liked Xavier, I could actually do something about it. Oh come on, I wasn't being nosey. So I hid in a bush? Like you haven't done it once or twice as well. I easily found her, in the hut her and Makaylah were now sharing. She looked discouraged and embarrassed. I couldn't blame her. I wouldn't want some of my friends seeing me kiss all over a crush either.
Me: "You all right?"
Jenny: "You've heard already?"
Me: "Didn't have to. I saw it."
Jenny: "All right, so you were right. I like Xavier, but he only wants to be friends. I shouldn't be pushing anything, and I won't anymore. I feel like a complete idiot."
Me: "Jenny, you are not an idiot. So you had an accident, so what? It will get better. I wouldn't worry too much anyways. Judging by the expression Xavier had as you walked off, I'd say he likes you too."
Jenny: "Sure he does."
Me: "I bet you he does. He probably just doesn't know how to show it. He's a boy after all."
*JENNY CHUCKLES A LITTLE*
Me: "But it doesn't help that you aren't throwing any shall we say 'shrimp on the barbie'."
Jenny: "What?!"
Me: "Oh come on Jenny. If you want a man, you have to treat him like a fish. Give him some bait to bite on."
Jenny: "Eww!"
*I LAUGH AND FRIENDS START CALLING ME FROM OUTSIDE*
Me: "Come on, I have news to spread."
We headed down to the new building where Keila looked like if she were any happier she'd wet herself. Just as I asked, Kiera had set up a net ribbon in front of the door, and a couple of shirts over a sign hanging above it.
Me: "Ladies and gentlemen! Keila and I gathered you here to show you something that may be oddly epic for our camp. As you can all tell, most of our clothes are...well...they ain't sexy anymore! Recently Derek and Tyler found a way to make looms! Since Keila has always wanted to go into the fashion career, I want to present to you all..."
*KIERA PULLS DOWN THE SHIRTS TO SHOW THE SIGN*
Me: "Keila's Kool Klothes Shop! (PURPOSELY MISSPELLED) She will be opening tomorrow with a small line of clothes she's made for the past few days. How about a round of applause?!"
*EVERYONE CLAPS, AS XAVIER MAKES HIS WAY THROUGH THE CROWD OVER TO JENNY WHO LOOKS EMBARASSED*
Xavier: "Jenny!"
Jenny: "Oh...umm...hey Xavier."
Xavier: "I need to talk to you."
Jenny: "I already know, you just want to be friends. I'm sorry I kissed your cheek, especially in public. It won't happen again."
*JENNY STARTS WALKING OFF*
Xavier: "No, Jenny wait!"
*XAVIER BEGINS TO FOLLOW JENNY AS THE REST OF US APPLAUD*
Me: Oh great. They haven't even really dated and already they're having love spats. Its offical. I'm so getting help once this ceremony is over...
