Mark: Let's rock... Charge!! [He points forth with his weapon. The squadron yells, and then dashes forward... before a new scenario abruptly comes into play...]
[As the first small wave nears Kutzu's smaller force, they are pushed back by an invisible force-field that flashes a light purplish color as it is hit... The soldiers stand, puzzled by this. The Feminine do as well.]
Dragon Soldier: What's up?!
Dragon Soldier: 'Ey, what's the deal!?
Mark: You've gotta be kidding me! Wusses! You can't even face us!?
Kutzu: ...Mark... We're not doing this...
Mark: Well then who is!?
Energetic Voice: Wellllll, that'd be my doing!
[Everyone scans around, searching for the one who spoke.]
Energetic Voice: Oh! So sorry! Can't see me?
Kutzu: That voice... I totally recognize...
[A chao, mainly adorn with light purple Japanese clothing, leaps from the shield, practically appearing out of midair. She materializes into solidity, performing a front flip before she lands right in front of Mark, chuckles, and then back flips, giving her some space. She herself is lightly purple colored. Her eyes are deep fuchsia.She is wearing an array of magenta ribbons attached to her clothing, as well as a karate belt and headband. Her hair is natural brown, styled strait in the back, and various in the front, with a strand covering her eye.]
Kutzu & Rilia: [Both gasp, along with the rest of the group.] Lavender!!!
Lavender: Hey, boys! Sorry, but I'm gonna have to ask you to step off~!
Mark: What!? Who the hell do you think you are!?
Lavender: My name is Lavender, Phaze Guardian of Crescent, and you've gone a little too far with your field trip.
Mark: Urg--[Steps back.] Phaze Guardian...? I've heard of you guys...
Lavender: You have...? You would've dropped those nasty weapons by now if you've heard of any of us.
Mark: ...[Glaring at Lavender...]
Lavender: ...[Raises a brow...] ...
Mark: ...You know what...?
Lavender: [Places her hands on her hips.] What?
Mark: Fine. We're throwin' in the towel...
Dragon Soldier: What!? But Commander!

Dragon Soldier: Has that ever happened before?
Dragon Soldier: Don't think so...
Mark: No, this hasn't happened before... But has our Soul Sphere ever been stolen before? No... It hasn't. And neither has this mass reduction of the Masculine... it's a pain...
Kutzu: But we have to... If we don't, like, who knows what Lea and Pryme could do?
Lavender: [Turns around.] K-Kutzu!? Did you say Lea and Pryme!?
Kutzu: Chris told us that Pryme came here from a different world!
Lavender: [Shocked.] Chris!? Chris is here!?

Rilia: Weren't we supposed to... not mention...?
Lavender: My God... Lord Hideaki's prediction was true...

Lavender: This situation just got a whole lot crazier. You! [Turns around.] The alliance? Good idea. No fighting while Naught's crazed Shade is here, she'll take advantage of the disputes!

[Something stirs around them... About ten Nightmares appear from the flowery ground. Half of them are Safan Nightmares, half are pixies. All have pink eyes.]
Dragon Soldier: What the--!?
Fairy Soldier: These things again!?
Kutzu: Looks like we've got trouble on our paws.
Lavender: Certainly...
Mark: What's the deal with these things?
Kutzu: Just give it to 'em!
Mark: Finally, this is more like it! Full assault, everyone!
Kutzu: Don't let up, girls!

[The unexpected battle commences. Beams are fires from the weapons, blue signifying the Masculines weaponry, and pink signifying Feminine's. This battle doesn't take too long. Lavender stuns the Nightmares for everyone's offensive maneuvers...]
Mark: [Lowering his weapons...] That's all...? Hardly worth opening eyes for.
Kutzu: Totally. But like you said... Don't get comfy.
Mark: Hmph... I take it they've been appearing a lot more than a few times?
Lavender: If that's the case, then there's no point in waiting around out here. Let's get inside. Hurry!
Mark & Kutzu: Erm...
Dragon Soldier: ...We... Do we really have to?
Fairy Soldier: Do they...?
Lavender: Oh, right... The whole "never happened before" thing... We're more at risk out here.
Kutzu: True, besides, we have a boy in there right now. C'mon!
Mark: Fine!
[The Masculine wave follows Lavender and the small Feminine group into Castle Blossom... Two Fairy soldiers close the large doors behind.]

Celebi: [Protecting the flickering Soul Sphere.] ...I... I don't like standing around like this, but... It's all to protect the Soul Sphere...
Safiri: I really wanna know what's happening too!
Slianna: Hehe, it's so tough keeping you contained, Saf!
Safiri: You bet. I feel like I'm not helping...
Celebi: [Looks over to Cruce, who is leaning up against a wall with arms crossed and eyes closed.]
Safiri: [Notices Cruce as well.] Cruce...?
Cruce: [Opens her eyes, looking over to Safiri.] ...?
Celebi: Er--Cruce, that's kind of a scary look... Something bothering you?
Cruce: [Closes her eyes again.] The Ruinous... I've got this qualm...
Safiri: A qualm? What's wrong...? Who are The Ruinous?
Celebi: The Ruinous are a group of all-powerful beings who have come to this dimension with the intent of destroying everything... Cruce is from their dimension, but suffered from amnesia. We think Cruce is against The Ruinous, but was forced to forget a lot about them.
Slianna: [Shivers.] ...Whoa...
Safiri: No kidding...
Cruce: How soon will it be before another member of The Ruinous shows him... or herself?
Celebi: [Shakes her head.] H-how should I know...? I really don't want to battle another...
Safiri: You fought one, Celebi? What're they like?
Celebi: They're... strong... Really strong. It took... two Eclipses and three of Naught's closer minions... and me... just to take one out. He wiped us all out, but I held on long enough to defeat him.
Slianna: Wooow. I hope we don't have to face someone like that... They'd sweep right through me...
Safiri: But Cruce, you're really strong. Would you be able to stand up against them?
Cruce: The Ruinous want me out of the way. They will try to cheat me out of battling them just to get to someone else. This was the case with Cree...
Celebi: (And that someone else was me... Why...? Why would they want to fight me? Do I have some place in their conquest?) Cruce... I... I sense a little bit of Darkness nearby. I know that sounds vague, but... could you go out there and see what's happening?
Cruce: Certainly. [Pushes herself off of the wall, instantly vanishing in a dark corridor.]
Safiri: Erm--.
Celebi: Erf... Cruce... yo-you have a problem with entries...

[Just as Mark's squadron and Kutzu's group head back into the castle...]

Dragon Soldier: [Glancing around.] ...Oh man...
Mark: [Shudders.] Ugh... Just neutralize me now, why don't you. Sheesh...
Kutzu: [Smirks.] ...
Mark: Wipe that look off your face, Kutzu.
Fairy Guard: [Watching from a higher elevation in the large foyer.] Whaa! Dragons!!
Fairy Soldier: No no! [Flies up to the guard. She explains the situation.]
Fairy Guard: Oh, I see... That's pretty drastic.

Lavender: Kutzu!
Kutzu: Uh-huh?
Lavender: You said Chris was here, right?
Kutzu: Well, like... Um... He... he could be? [Shrugs, smiling nervously.]
Rilia: Hmm... Maybe that strange looking girl knows where he went.
Kutzu: Strange look--[Realizes...] Oh... Oh yeah! She should totally know... I think.
Lavender: Hm? Strange looking girl, huh? Has he made new friends already?
Rilia: Who knows, he-he...
[Just then, a dark corridor appears at the base of the stairway. This alarms everyone, especially Lavender, who prepares herself for battle, almost forgetting where she is.]
Lavender: Everyone, heads up! [Watching the corridor... It disperses, revealing Cruce, who is leaning against the railing.] ...W...Who's...?
Rilia: Oh~! Hi Cruce! [Waves.]
Cruce: [Smiles at Rilia.] Hey Ri. [Walks closer to the group, being eyes suspiciously by some others.]
Kutzu: What's up, Cruce? I totally thought you were in the royal chambers.
Cruce: I was. 'Got asked to come out here and see what was goin' on. Apparently we got Darkness in the area...?
Lavender: Darkness...? Oh, you mean the Nightmares? [She smirks.] Handled with ease. And yourself? You seem to be Darkness... no?
Cruce: [Closes her eyes, shaking her head.] I have the power of Darkness, though I'm not in league with them. The name's Cruce. Cruce Ifai.
Lavender: Hmm... Well met, then. I'm Lavender, Phaze Guardian.
Cruce: (Lavender... the Phaze Guardian... She's alive here.) [Nods.]
Mark: Cruce... you are an interesting Fairy... Are you of Soren?
Cruce: [Shakes her head.] Nah, not really. I'm kind of an outsider to everything happening here. I'm here to help, if that's any consolation.
[A young Fairy who was in the squad approaches Kutzu. Her Base Primitive is a ferret. She seems to be wearing a sunny, floral yellow and pink dress, ruffled at the edges. It symbolizes the Order she belongs to. {Order of the Sunflower.} Her hair is a slightly darker brown than her fur. Her wings possess a similarity to petals of a sunflower as well as maintaining the traditional butterfly look. They are quite majestic and large compared to other Fairies. She is wearing yellow dress gloves, matching her attire. Also unusual for combat attire, she is wearing closed high heels. A large, graceful yellow ribbon flows downward around her straightened hair.]
Cruce: [Eyes her carefully.] (Who is this girl...? I'm not used to seeing Fairies so adorned in all that.)
Kutzu: [Turns to the girl.] Oh. Saturn! Is something wrong?
Saturn: [Her voice is innocent and shy.] Urm, ...A-are we really sure that that was all the Nightmares? [She folds her paws behind her back.]
Kutzu: Aww, Saturn... I know it's a little scary, but we can totally handle the Nightmares with Chr--[Blinks, noticing Lavender.] ...W-with Cruce around! [Turns to Cruce and winks.]
Cruce: Hmm? (Oh, I get it... Lav's a Phaze Guardian. We can't spoil the fact that Chris is here.) I will check if you need me to. Ensuring the safety of Castle Blossom and the Soul Sphere are both priorities for most of those who live here.
Saturn: [Quietly.] You would... do that...?
Lavender: Cruce, all by yourself?
Kutzu: That's totally dangerous!
Rilia: Hehe, I've seen Cruce fight! It's so cool! She can take out masses of bad guys without even moving a muscle!
Mark: My kind of soldier, I see...[Chuckles to himself.]
Lavender: [Tilts her head at Rilia, perhaps suspecting something before returning her attention to Cruce.] Well... I guess so. But don't hesitate to call for backup.
Cruce: Thanks. [Nods to Lavender, beginning to walk outside...]
Saturn: [Watches Cruce before raising her arm and calling out.] Um--W-wait, please! Miss Cruce...?
Cruce: [Stops.] (...Miss Cruce... Really...?) [Turns around, smirking.] No "miss" is necessary, hmhm.
Saturn: S-sorry, um... [Lowers her head a little.] C-could I... Could I join you?
Kutzu: Saturn! Are you, like, serious? That's... that's really dangerous...
Cruce: I have no objections, but... being concern's a healthy factor here. Are you sure you want to come with?
Saturn: Yes. I am positive. [She turns to Kutzu.] ...I'm sorry, Kutzu... This is a wonderful opportunity for me to grow stronger... fighting alongside someone like this... R-remember what Helena said...? She said I was just clinging onto being a Sunflower... Ever since I earned these wings and that title, I've shown no improvement at all.
Kutzu: Oh, but that's not true, Saturn. You've totally shown improvement! You're thinking too much about close combat, when a Sunflower is supposed to invoke magic and stay at a distance. You're doing fine, Saturn!
Saturn: ...You're so kind, Kutzu, but... I know I'm lacking. [Closes her eyes.] I just gotta get stronger.
Kutzu: Hm... I like that motivation... [Giggles.] There's no stopping you, is there? Like, if you feel that way... Cruce? She can come, right?
Cruce: (I'd be dragging dead weight... I know... I know that's harsh, but she does show an impressive will to learn all sorts of new stuff... though I'd only be corrupting her with my darkness... Hm, it'd make my job more of a challenge; watching after someone else...) I don't mind.
Kutzu: Hehe, there you go, Saturn~! Have fun!
Saturn: [Smiles warmly at Kutzu.] Thank you! [She walks up to Cruce, smiling nervously.]
Cruce: [Smirks at Saturn. The two exit the castle...

Saturn: [Holding her dress as she walks.] My, this lovely day is sure soiled by those evil Nightmares, hm?
Cruce: Yeah... it is... [Looking to the sky.] This beautiful Soren... to be soiled by Darkness... at least it isn't as the Soren I know... [Lowers her head.]
Saturn: I... beg your pardon?
Cruce: [Turns to Saturn.] (She's just a girl... telling a mere resident of Soren about myself and my true goals would mean I have to end her right here.) Listen... Saturn...
Saturn: [Tilts her head, a bit scared now.] Y-yes...?
Cruce: I admire your courage coming with me to learn how to fight. That's respectable, but... do you really want to learn from me...?
Saturn: What do you mean...? Is there something... wrong with...?
Cruce: There's nothing wrong with wanting to learn from me if you don't know me, I guess... [Looks out into the distance.] So let me tell you about myself. My name is Cruce Ifai. I come here from a different dimension, not a different world, a different dimension. I lost some of my memory upon coming here, but apparently I'm tied to the case of a group of evildoers known as The Ruinous... (This is becoming my only excuse... My only lie.) The power within me is the darkest, most sinister power imaginable. If I weren't a shape shifter, made of this dark matter, I wouldn't be able to survive with it inside of me... [She turns around.] But don't be afraid... Like I said, I'm here to help. Whatever I can do to prevent Darkness from harming this world, I will do.
Saturn: [Terrified at first, she begins backing away as if ready to run back into the castle. Though, she spots the sincerity in Cruce's only shown eye...] ...Cr-Cruce... Is this all... Is this all true?
Cruce: It is... [Nods.] I've got a duty here, but... Amnesia is standing in my way... But enough about me... Tell me about yourself, Saturn... at least while we have nothing to worry about.
Saturn: Erm... [Approaches slowly.] I'm Saturn Kyuno... of the Order of the Sunflower... I-I'm new, so I'm not really used to looking like this...
Cruce: New to the Feminine?
Saturn: Nope. I was born into the Feminine... I'm not good with close combat... so I tried my hardest in long ranged action... but... I can't do that very well either... So I tried magic... and it works for me.
Cruce: I heard something about neutralization in the form of mana. Can you pull that off?
Saturn: Mhmm. Only just. A lot of the other Fairies think it's impossible, but... it's not... There are other types of magic that I can use, but they're mainly for weakening an enemy.
Cruce: I get it. What about the attire? Looks like it's a little hard to get anywhere fast on the ground for you.
Saturn: Oh, certainly. [Nods twice.] Where we mages lack in floored mobility we make up for in flight. [She flares her wings out a little.]
Cruce: Flight is a good advantage, but there are many elements that can tear a flier to shreds. Think about it... If you fly, you resist gravity... Injured, gravity will pull you down only to smash you into the ground... Not saying that it's a bad thing if you're evasive enough.
Saturn: ...Might you have any tips on how to improve my flight, Cruce?
Cruce: [Shakes her head.] Afraid not. Flight's not my thing, but... but I will teach you how to manipulate magic...
[As she speaks, a multitude of Nightmares rise from the ground. There are about twenty in the entire area. Each of them have either pink, green, or yellow eyes.]
Saturn: Eep! That's... that's a lot!!
Cruce: [Faces the Nightmares. A few of them become to move on Cruce.] Wrong move, Darkies. [She raises one arm aggressively, five pillars of dark matter following this motion before her. Each strike through a Nightmare near her, ending them quickly. The other Nightmares watch for an opening. Two move for Saturn.]
Saturn: [Notices this.] Ah!! Cruce!!
Cruce: [Turns around.] Gah! Tricky things! [Throws one arm forward, a streak of aggressive black lightning shooting at the pink-eyed Nightmare. Cruce, however, is struck in the back with a weapon of one of the Nightmares. She falls forward, though teleports quickly behind that Nightmare, sending a spike of dark matter through it. At this time, she witnesses Saturn become the target of an electric attack. She is shocked with dark lightning, unlike Cruce's, but still dangerous Saturn falls to the ground, stunned. She seems to suffer from the same type of dark electric stun that Slianna, Ray, and Celebi did in the Ancient Growth Forest.]
Saturn: Cr-Cruce! Help!! I-I can't move! [The Nightmare is about to strike with its axe.]
Cruce: (Dammit!) [Teleports to Saturn, surging through the Nightmare with an energized attack. It vanishes. Cruce, noting the locations of all remaining Nightmares, readies a special move. She leaps into the air, coming back down with her fist slammed into the ground. It creates a shadowy puddle under her paw and an electric puddle under each Nightmare. Electricity bursts skyward from underneath each of them, annihilating the last of them easily.] ... [Cruce stands in front of Saturn.] (Damn, I knew she'd be dead weight... But I doubt she's used to fighting Darkness...) [Kneels down, placing a paw on Saturn's left shoulder.]
Saturn: [Facing up.] Cruce...? Wh-why can't I move?!
Cruce: A Nightmare must've injected you with dark energy... I'd better take care of this.
Saturn: Y-you can... fix it?
Cruce: I can. [Nods.] (...I don't have time to sit around...) This may hurt a little, but it's a lot better than laying stunned for hours.
Saturn: Mmrgh... o-okay...
Cruce: Brace yourself. [She discharges a larger amount of dark electricity into Saturn than she had done with Sianna, Ray, and Celebi.]
Saturn: [Closes her eyes in clear pain... She resist the urge to scream as Cruce's dark plasma courses through her entire body... This lasts only five seconds.]
Cruce: [Stands.] (Sorry, Saturn... ...I might have done something much worse than just cause pain as it is.) How do you feel?
Saturn: [Inside of her body, a strange sensation occurs... Cruce's own darkness overwhelms each and every one of Saturn's body cells. Her life force gives off a peculiar blackness... Cruce's magic reaches her soul.] I feel... I feel...[She smiles in bliss...]

[Just after Cruce and Saturn left to defend the castle outside, a scene continued inside...]

Kutzu: I'd like to get to know this Cruce person better. She's, like, so cool!
Rilia: You should see her in action!
Lavender: ... [Staring at Rilia, suspicious.] ...You are sooo a Safan...
Rilia: [Gulps.] Oh! Gee, look at the time, I gotta go see what... people... are up to! He-he, bye! [Dashes into the royal audience chamber.]
Mark: Dude... who is she? She doesn't have a symbol or anything...
Lavender: ...[Laughs.] Ohh! I knew it...
Kutzu: You can, like, tell who that is right off the bat?
Lavender: Ray... What happened to you...? [Shakes her head.] 'Guess we should see what's up.
Kutzu: Hopefully the Fairy Princess knows about Mark.
Mark: Susie...
Kutzu: This is the first time we're letting the Dragon Commander into Princess Susie's chambers...
Mark: Why let me in? What's the point...? Lemme guess, you don't trust me...?
Kutzu: [Crosses his arms.] Why should I at the moment? Mark, I know you better than anyone in Castle Blossom...

Mark: Kutzu... 'Used to be one of my best friends. Now look at you...
Kutzu: Could we not get into this? Just because I'm a boy doesn't mean anything!
Mark: [Shakes his head.] 'Nough of this. We've been through the same old argument every time we see each other in battle. Never gets anywhere, and it won't now.
Kutzu: Then maybe you shouldn't have said anything!
Mark: ...Let's go already...
Kutzu: ...Hmph...

Lavender: ...Mark? ...
Mark: [Sheathing his weapons. He seems depressed] ...I'm fine... [Begins following Kutzu.]
Lavender: ...[Quietly.] Hmm... 'Wonder how this'll turn out...

[In the royal chamber...]
Safiri: ...[Pacing the room...]
Slianna: Hey Saf? What's the matter?
Safiri: [Stops pacing.] Well... It's just I have so much on my mind... Why would Pryme and this Lea person do this to me...? I don't get it...
Celebi: [Still holding the Soul Sphere.] It's just what Lea does. I don't know how much Pryme got involved in this... But I am pretty puzzled. Why would Lea change your appearance like that? She specializes in... Well, putting it blatantly, changing boys into girls.
Slianna: That's over the line... Way creepy.
Safiri: [Falls to the ground, laying down.] Ugh... I look so weird...
[Susie, having been attending some business in her secret compartment, which possibly contains her favored weaponry, turns around.]
Susie: Gracious, I'm sorry to hear that you had to suffer neutralization, Safiri... But you are correct Celebi, how awkward, for Lea to focus on masculine neutralization...
Celebi: It really doesn't make sense. The same thing happened to Ray... 'Cept vice-versa.

[They hear a knock on the chamber door.]
Susie: I got that, Dearies. You just keep that Sphere safe, okay?
Celebi: [Nods.] You got it.
[The Princess, graceful as always, makes her way to the door. She opens it... and then stands shocked... Slianna, Safiri, and Celebi lean in to see who has knocked on the door...]

Kutzu: Fairy Princess Susie! [Performs a courtesy. Rilia and Lavender do the same. Mark simply smirks nervously.]
Susie: Gr-gracious!! Kutzu... Mark's submissive...?
Kutzu: Totally! Mark? Show her your respect... Go on, you declared it yourself.
Susie: Hmm?
Mark: Right. [Approaches Susie confidently.] Fairy Princess Susie... I declare an alliance between the Fairies and Dragons... We shouldn't be fightin' in these situations... Lea's amok; she's already destroyed most of my army...
Susie: Oh my... An alliance? Well... I...
Mark: I know the conditions... Each leader must show the opposing their traditional sign, and... [Gulps.] Ah, man... Well here it is. [Performs a bow, however it is similar to a ballroom dancing bow, with one arm across his chest and one foot forward.]
Susie: [Gasps.] Commander Mark! You mean it!
Mark: Yeah... I figured it'd be for the best... But if I get my army back... then it's back to the good old days, got it?
Susie: I agree. [Recognizing the terms, she performs the Masculine sign: a firm military salute.]
Kutzu: Oh my gosh! This is history in the making!
Celebi: (History... history which Darkness created...)
Susie: If we've come to an agreement... please come in.
[The three step in, leaving the door open.]
Safiri & Slianna: Ray! You're okay!! [They dash up to Rilia.]
Rilia: He-he-he, what did I tell you guys? It's Rilia now!
Safiri: Sorry, Rilia!
Slianna: I'm just so glad nothing bad happened to you.
[Upon another conversation...]
Mark: 'Eh...? Kutzu, your odd looking friend has... friends...
Kutzu: Yep! Her name is Rilia, and the other two are Safiri and Slianna.
Mark: ...Damn, I've never seen that type of chao.
Celebi: That's 'cause they're not chao.
Mark: [Startled by Celebi, who was standing next to him...] Whoa--Sheesh!! A Creminine?
[At this moment, Lavender walks in.]
Lavender: Hello everyone!
Slianna & Safiri: [Both turn around slowly.] Whoa!! Lavender!!
Lavender: Slianna! S-...Safiri...?
Susie: Gracious! If it isn't the revered Phaze Guardian, Lavender! My, oh my!
Celebi: (Lavender!? What's she doing here!? ...When did she even get here?)
Lavender: Oh, you three... What in the worlds happened to you? And... Why is the Soul Sphere blinking like that?
Safiri: We had some problems with Lea and Pryme... They stole the power of an Ancient Growth, and are trying to steal the Soul Spheres of this world.
Lavender: [Gasps.] Is this true, Fairy Princess Susie!?

Celebi: [Holding the Sphere with two hands again.] My name's... Celebi.
Lavender: Nice to meet you Celebi! I'm Lavender! You can just call me Lav if you want.

Mark: Isn't Chris that person who saved Soren before, who wasn't from Soren, but from a planet called Earth, or somethin'?
Celebi: Uh, yes! That's him! I know him... U-Uh, so does a friend of mine named Cruce!
Lavender: I saw Cruce in the foyer. She looks tough...
Safiri: [Walks to Kutzu... Whispers.] Hey...?
Kutzu: [Looks to Safiri. He whispers back.] I know... Chris is hiding it...

So, as you may recall...
Saturn was not at all in the original ...this... Sync...
I think I'm gonna call this Sync series Ethereal Sync, because, unlike the other Sync, it revolves heavily around the Ethereal Cross period... which I have never written. o.o;
Some time in the far future I plan on doing that... But yeah, Saturn only appeared because of Cruce. She's a completely new character, and wilI soon be much more important as Phrenic Sync continues. =3
