We followed the car to the airport, where we silently followed Issiah onboard and sat behind him. "Is this really happening?" Ellix asked excitedly. Pisces chuckled and nodded. "It is indeed, my friend." I heard Ellix giggle and I couldn't help but smile myself. We were finally going to find Gabriel and save him. I only hopped we would get there in time to save him. That's when I felt that feeling of being pulled from my body. I shut my eyes and let it pull me into him. He was still in the cell. Only this time, someone was there with him. That someone was tall and had long white hair. "There really is no need for this to be uncomfortable, Gabriel." She said softly. There was a tone her voice was so menacing that it scared me. Not Gabriel...but me. "You can threaten me all you want, Marisha. I'm not telling you a thing." "We have ways of making you talk, you know. We just want to know where she is." Gabriel sneered at the woman in front of him. "I'll never tell you that." Marisha sighed. "You see...we had our eyes on her since she was born. We were going to take her in when she was seventeen and give her the disease. But you had to go ahead and change her into one of your kind. She is useless to us now." "Why do you want to know where she is then?" Gabriel asked smugly. Way to go Gabriel. An evil grin played on Marisha's lips. "Just to see what will happen if we give a vampire the Savior virus." Gabriel shook his head. "Forget it. I won't let you turn her into some sort of lab rat!"
And just like that, I was pulled back into my own body again. "That one was pretty long," Ellix pointed out when I sighed. I nodded. "I think that was the longest it's ever happened." "So, what happened?" "Some woman named Marisha is looking for me." I told him, "She wants to give me something called the Savior virus. To test what happens when it's given to a vampire." "Marisha?" Ellix asked, his eyes widening. I nodded. "Yeah. She's got long white hair." "I know who Marisha is. She's very well known in the vampire world. She's the scientist who developed the Savior virus." "What is the Savior virus?" I asked. "Remember Rina?" he asked. I nodded in response. How could you not remember someone who tried to kill you? That kind of thing sticks with you forever. "She has the Savior virus. It's a virus given to teenage girls. It makes them stronger, and faster than they were before. It basically makes them killing machines. Perfect for killing our kind." "Whoa. So...why would Marisha want to infect a vampire with the Savior virus? Wouldn't that be defeatign the purpose?" "Apparently, as well as killing vampires, she also wants to develop a cure for it. Maybe she thinks giving the Savior virus to a vampire might cure them." "You said it was given to teenage girls though, right?" "Yeah. It didn't work in men." I nodded and relaxed into my seat. "Why do you ask?" I shook my head. "It doesn't matter." "It does though. Just tell me." "Marisha said they had their eyes on me, but Gabriel turned me before they could get to me." Ellix nodded. "That would make sense." I looked at him and tilted my head to the side. "Why would that make sense?" "Well, Marisha liked to find girls when they were born. Ones who seemed naturally strong from birth. I guess you were one of those people." "How does she know about these people?" "My guess is that she's teamed up with the doctors at the hospitals. They let her know when a strong baby girl is born." I sighed and shook my head. "Why would she want me though?" Ellix shrugged. "No clue." I groaned and leaned back into my seat. I hopped we could get to Gabriel before anything anything bad could happen to him. "You okay?" Lola asked, turning around to face me. "Hm? Yeah. I'm okay." "Sure? You seem kinda out of it." "I'm just worried about Gabriel." "Can't you check in on him at all? I mean...can't you slip into his body at all?" I shook my head. "It's kinda hard to control. Like...sometimes I can but other times I can't." "Can you now?" I closed my eyes and relaxed my body. Nothing happened. I shook my head. "Nothing." Lola frowned. "That's no good." she said childishly before turning back around. I closed my eyes and wiped a tear off my face. Deep down, I knew we weren't going to get to Gabriel in time. Somehow, I knew Marisha was going to kill him. I decided to try to slip into his body again. It still didn't work. I groaned and threw my head back against the seat. "What the hell is wrong with me?!" I yelled. The others looked at me like I was crazy. "What?" I asked. "Answer your own question for us, Magdeline." Ellix said with a small smile. "I can't get into Gabriel's body." I admitted. "What do you mean?" Ellix asked. I shrugged, trying again to allow myself to be pulled into Gabriel's body. "It feels like something is blocking me from him."
