Nika and Kari hid quietly under the bushes in the garden as men ran through and called for them. Both girls giggled softly as they watched the feet pass them quickly. Nika and Kari were sisters though, they were only related through their father who was king and was off in other lands working. Both girl's mothers had died when they were very young and it was up to the kind maids to care and raise them. Even though they were different in many ways, Nika and Kari had learned to become great friends and even greaters sisters. Nika who was the oldest watched over and helped care for the yound Kari who was only a year younger then she was. The girls kept close under the bushes as guards ran past and smiled at each other. There were many things they didn't know and many things they didn't care for. Both girls loved to hide from the guards and see how long it took for them to find them.

Nicole stared in horror at the bloody ripped up bodie's of her parents laying infront of her and heard laughter filling the room. Her heart raced in her chest as she sat in the corner and looked up to only see a grin. It moved closer and continued to laugh as it reached for Nicole and with one tough had her screaming in pain and burning her arm. It spoke of spirits and how when she was old enough he planned to take her from this world she lived in. A skull with a grin formed on her upper arm as he told her this was his mark then disappeared. Nicole felt tears run down her face as she thought of her fate and though of all the spirit had told her.
This had been her first true test to show she could see the dead spirits that wandered the earth still and for years she was haunted by the bad memory of her dead parents and the never ending laugh of death. When she went through high school there was only on person she had made friends with and that could see the spirits like she could. The others kept their distance and spoke of her behind her back. Her death was getting closer and closer and there was nothing she could do to stop time and find a way to break the curse she had on her.

Laughter filled the air and blood covered the room with a single body laying lifeless in the middle. With eyes filled with the insane thoughts of murder and death and the knife in her hand, Rina laughed and grinned at the work she had done. The moment she left the house her laughter and grins had gone and her eyes were wide with excitment. "They deserve this." She called happily as she threw the knife into the river and ran for home. "This is what they get for diging to deep into something the should have left alone and for trying to change things." She said. When she got home, Rina quickly cleaned up and went to bed without a care in the world. The next day when she got up and was leaving for school she could hear breathing and grinned "I did it." She mumbled before she left. Rina knew of a new family who was coming to town now and she wondered how things would work out this time.
Rikku remembered waking up in a brightly lit box. She remembered hearing voices and seeing nothing but white all around here. How panic filled her body, How she rushed forward and was pulled back my needles. She could feel the fear and worry race through her system like a bullet. What she remembered most was she she spoke. Her voice was beautiful and very elegant but she heards screams on the other side of a wall. Everytime she called out the screams just got louder until she heard something liquid splater across the mirror. Weeks later she had escaped and was hiding amoung the people of this village. She was normal like the rest of them...except she couldn't speak. Rikku had no plans to hurt another human being with her voice. She didn't fully understand why she hurt people with her voice but she knew that if she spoke a word to them that she would only kill.

"She will never know anything else than what we give her. She is ours to control and she will never understand." the voice said in her ears. Another voice filled the empty space quickly with "She needs to be let out into the world, to learn, to grow, and to be human!" The voice made her ears ring and confused her. To be human? I thought I was a human....who is talking....whats going on? She questioned in her mind as she felt a sudden charge of electricity surge through her body and her red eyes shot wide open with fear and a gasp. Two people filled her vision right away and she gave a startled look as she tried to see what was around her.
