I sang out so strong
My voice rose above the wind
I sang of joy and love
And the vanquishing of sin

Then a cold rain set in
My heart was shivering with chill
My soul lost all inspiration
And my love songs became ill

So I sit on my lonely corner
My throat too sore to croon
My eyes teared up in sorrow
Clouds hid my beloved moon

Hidden away in darkness
I vowed to sing nevermore
My voice had become ugly
And through my heart, it tore

I could not sing
My voice brought me pain
I could not draw
My fingers stiff from the rain

And I would not have done so
Even if I could
Because I lost all my passion
And all my faith in good
