Today I listened to my 50+ year old dad whine to me again about my mom. Apparently, these thinly veiled, bitter jabs at her are common. I would be worried about my brother, but dad has already isolated him anyway. Which is, in some ways, worse.

If there was ever a texture that eyes can 'feel', it would definitely be the cloudless Arizona sky, especially when sunset has only just begun. Looking at it feels like my eyes and brain are petting the softest, smoothest silk. It's a weird sensation.

30 minutes until the end of my very last day at work. It's a day like any other, without even a lot of people coming up to me and saying stuff like "I'll miss you" (which is no surprise - I'm really quiet here.)

God, I need that vacation. It's weird how you can feel strong and competent while you're losing your mind.
