Notes on Design:

- Elepon is my main character from the novel I'm writing, Promethio.
- He's is male, and is roughly in his late twenties/early thirties.
- Full name? Elepon Fenegan. Or so Promethius says - Elepon doesn't know his exact real name, so he just goes with that (Promethius, the spirit inside him, lives by feeding off Elepon's memories and emotions, which has the effect of making Elepon forget things constantly).
- He is NOT an elf. He just... has pointed ears because... I like drawing them? *shrug*
- The story is set in a somewhat 1700-1800s time period.
- His native race were a nomadic group of herders and warriors, who lived in the cold northern mountains and Boreal forests. This was before the country was annexed and most of the tribes killed in guerrilla fighting.
- He is slightly more rough and masculine looking than I tend to draw him. Not saying he isn't attractive, in his own way, but it's less in a "pretty boy" way. Mostly just because he's fairly ragged (as in, beat up and not very squeaky clean) and can look weary. Drawn him as you will though, I don't mind. I'm perfectly fine with a pretty boy version. ♥
- Sometimes I forget to draw it, but he has a good number of silver hoop piercings in both ears, and a gem stud in his right.
- He is lean of build but not in a scrawny way - he's quite muscular and has many deep, ragged scars across his body.
- Borders on the short side, probably about 5"6 or 7. Most men are taller than him.
- His eyes are a very predatory icy blue colour.
- His hair is light blonde/platinum blonde.
- His fringe falls across his right eye, and his long bangs fall either side of his face. His hair at the back is shortish and raggedly cut, so is quite chaotic. Because he travels a lot with few breaks, it's usually pretty ragged and dirty.
- He has very pale, almost sickly complexion.
- As far as facial features go; he has narrow, vaguely almond shaped eyes; a long pointed nose with a slight bridge bump (old broken nose); a narrow, sharp chin and wide jaw; high cheekbones; full lips; rather short eyebrows; dark bags under his eyes from lack of sleep and stress; and anger lines from scowling at people too much ffff.
- His colour themes are grey, purple, grey-blue, dark red and black.

- Around his left eye, there is a scar of mauve purple. I can't really describe it well, but the closest is, a combination of a bad burn scar and raised veins. It's the mark of the rogue spirit that's inside his body - the spirit is in a sense leaking out of his eye. If you don't want to draw it (since my explanation is terrible), feel free to give him a bandage that wraps it up, or some kind of medical-looking eyepatch. P: He doesn't like to show it in public because it causes superstition and often gets him kicked out of town (to other people, it is a curse mark), so covers it up.

- Elepon is part of a highly cultural race who lives to the north in the mountains of the story. The area, in terms of environment and climate, is most like far northern Europe/North America, particularly Scandinavia, Russia and Alaska(think taiga/boreal biome). Because it's so cold where the story is set he wears lots of warm clothing and lots of fur. Kind of like a less heavy, more casual/loose/designed for easy movement combination of traditional Inuit clothing and old Mongolian clothing, except in greys, blues and blacks.

- As far as weapons go he uses flintlock pistols together with thin swords and daggers.

Notes on Personality:

- Elepon is caustic, cynical, dominating and deceptive. He can also be very selfish and confrontational, and doesn't hesitate to speak his mind. He is, in a word, an a*****e, and many people find it very hard to like him. Unfortunately, his powerful personality and circumstance draws others to him like a magnet, which he'd much rather avoid because he hates people in general. And often the people who end up travelling with him hate him too. (one even tried to poison him. ouo)
The few people who are his friends get to see a slightly softer side of him. Elepon is in reality a very scared person and has a lot of insecurities; he pushes people away with snide comments and arrogance so he doesn't have to deal with facing his own flaws and his imitate death. Underneath his mask he's highly intelligent (despite the fact that he's still learning how to read and write), philosophical and compassionate to those in need. To the people he trusts and loves, he is extremely loyal and will always protect them. Especially Khomal, who he is almost completely dependant on. She's the only person who he fully trusts and who knows the real Elepon, and their relationship is incredibly strong.
He's considered a chronic brooder by people who don't know him well - more often than not he's actually deep in thought, perhaps communicating with Promethius inside his head or considering his options of survival. It's very very rare that Elepon will openly "angst" - he can have bouts of depression and be manic depressive, but you'll never see him emo or whine. Life is too short to make an issue out of his problems and he considers those who snivel to get attention and pity to be the worst kind of person. He prefers to forge ahead and do the best he can, because grumbling wont save him or Khomal in any situation. That doesn't mean that he can't chuck hissy fits and b***h at people who screw things up, because he's perhaps too eager to do that.

- He has mental issues. He's a bit Antisocial/Paranoid/Bipolar. ouo
Promethius, the spirit who "lives" inside him, is a sentient creature with a personality worse than Elepon's, and he delights in ******** up Elepon's mind. Through the later end of the story, he become increasingly sporadic and convinced he's going insane - which isn't very far from the truth, as he has hallucination episodes and bipolar personality swings (partly attributed to the fact that since Promethius and he have combined minds, they share parts of each others' personality).Take a peek at his Personality Disorder test results.

- When he's not roaming around as a vagabond, he steals to get ahead in life. And when he's feeling somewhat respectable (and broke), he takes on mercenary and assassination jobs (yes, he considers this respectable). Since his morals are warped by Promethius, he's often in conflict over whether it's acceptable to murder and steal or not. His partnership with the spirit gives him unique abilities of foresight, strength and weapon skill, which make him a very hard person to kill. Promethius is able to sense the movements of people through their spiritual energy, so he's able to advise Elepon on when to dodge/attack during fights, making it seem like he has uncanny reflexes. When on the run Promethius often takes control of their shared body and is able to perform parkour-like moves in order to escape.

- He's the Clyde to Khomal's Bonnie. ♥

- Durrrr I make playlists for characters for writing inspiration. Elepon has a couple of songs that are very "him" for lack of words. This is his main one, if you decide to listen to it to get a feel of him: Passive - A Perfect Circle

OPTIONAL STORY OVERVIEW TO READ:

In his story, Elepon's native country and the surrounding countries were annexed into a massive empire state. This government treated it's newly occupied territory with a totalitarian iron first, displacing many of the native inhabitants, almost killing to the point of genocide. Because the countries captured had an inferior military, it was difficult to fight back, and within a few years they had been passivated to a manageable state, though violent guerrilla factions still exist. Elepon's own people, one of the races almost exterminated, fled from their taiga forest territory up into the north most mountains, but not before many of them were taken as prisoners of war and forced into conscription and terrible military experiments.

In the present story, a dozen years have passed since the northern territories fell to the empire. Elepon is a vagabond mercenary, his people all but an endangered race, who has his cunning hands deep in the underworld society; his body and mind cages Promethius, a parasitic and vengeful spirit free from the etherworld. Promethius is manipulative and delights in ******** with Elepon's mind; they are in a constant battle for control over their shared body, and unfortunately, Elepon is the weaker one. Not able to survive in the material world alone, he feeds off Elepon's emotions and memories, slowly driving his host to insanity, in the process killing him bit by bit - mortal bodies are not made to house anything other than their own spirits, and the toll on Elepon's body is ripping him apart from the inside out.

Elepon himself isn't much better than Promethius. Cynical, dominating and antisocial, he trusts few people, save his soul mate and long time companion, Khomal. He can't even trust himself. Scared of anything resembling other human friendship (this is more due to him being scared of himself and the spirit in his head), he has nothing left to fight for besides his life and Khomal's - his one goal is to rid his mind and body of Promethius, because only then will he be able to live freely. His issues, both socially and mentally, are many, and throughout the story he has to fight with his sanity, his sadomasochism and his relationship problems. The only problem is, he has absolutely no idea how to do this, and neither does Promethius - a lot of the story is centred around Elepon's desperate search for the right tools and person to perform the proper exorcism.

Though he has few redeeming qualities, his loyalty and fierce emotion, intellect and magnetic complexity finally ends up attracts others to him, whether he likes it or not. He loves as passionately as he hates, and finding the right balance is hard, both for himself and his companions.
