First, a plug for some awesome jazz music. Go, listen, buy, and enhance yer mellow.
Other than that: why is it that the local paper thinks it can simply opt you into continuing a temporary subscription that you did as a donation to kids trying to get into college - without paying the kids? And worse yet, without actually talking to a person specifically trained to try to dissuade you from unsubscribing, you can't.
So I did the next best thing: put a vacation stop on it until 21 Dec 2012. Why? Maybe the Mayan calendar rolling over will cause a glitch in the system, who knows. Nah, I tease, but two years out of sight and out of mind will be more than enough.
