I put my hands up to block the attack and closed my eyes.

"Whoa there ugly." said a voice.

I opened my eyes and there was Noah! He had one hand in his back pocket and the other on the monster's huge misshapen purple-bruise-colored-arm.

"N-Noah? Is that you?"
"Yep, it's me now can I have that ring back?" he asked taking his hand out of his back pocket and raising it towards me.
I slid my hand in my pocket and pulled out the small plain ring. Noah smiled wickedly at in and put it on his middle finger. I noticed the same ring on his other middle finger.
Both rings started to glow a deep dark purple then the one holding the monster's arm turned bloody red.
It shrieked in pain and tried to withdraw it's arm but Noah gripped in with his other hand. He turned so I couldn't see his face and both rings glowed bloody red.

"Hey, Carmella." he said.
"Y-Yeah?" I asked.
"I want you to get out of here, and do it now."
"B-But-" I stammered.
Noah looked at me with this wild look in his eye and a wicked smile, "If you don't you'll be caught in a blood bath."
I nodded and gulped.
"Do it now." he said.
I got up and ran in other way as fast as I could, I heard a evil laugh echo off the street. And I ran into someone. And fell backwards.

"Hey! Your that girl Noah was talking about!" said a voice like Noah's only higher.
Marcus was looking over me with his light blond hair and shiny eyes.
"Have you seen Noah?" the same man from before asked as Marcus helped me up.
"Looking for me?" Noah's voice called from behind me.

He was covered in head to toe in thick sticky red blood. His tongue glided over his right middle finger.

"So you took care of it?" the man said.
"What's it look like?" Noah said licking the blood off the other finger.
The man sighed, "You've made a mess haven't you?"
"Heh, guess so." Noah said, by now the blood covering his middle fingers had been licked and sucked clean.
The man sighed, "Marcus."
"I'm on it." Marcus said taking off toward where Noah had some from.
"Now," the man said looking at me, "what are we going to do with you?"
"Can we kill her? Looks like she'd blow up real nice." Noah said with that smile on his face as he begin to lick blood off his hands.
"Now now Noah, you've killed enough for one day." the man said.
"All clean!" Marcus said running back.

My lungs had taken in so much air I thought I would burst and I hadn't blinked.

"Now now then girl you have to breath." the man said putting his hand on my back and I took a deep shaky breath.
"There now. Now do you have any family?" he asked.
"Well n-no. I don't." I said.
"Lies! Lets blow her up!" Noah cried out.
"Hush Noah!" the man said.
"I'm not lying! I lost my parents in a fire." I said tears forming under the brims of my eyes.

Marcus put four pf his fingers on my forehead and closed his eyes.

Marcus was standing next to me as we looked at the burning house that was my parent's town house.

"How old were you?" Marcus asked, his voice had an echoy effect.
"I was five, pulled from the fire." I said watching fire men drag me away from the leaping flames.
"You lost both of your parents?"
"Yes. But my father had another marriage behind my mother's back and with his second wife he had four children."
"You were sent to live with her?"
"Yes, I was a slave in that house and the only reason she wanted me is for my father's money. I stole it and ran away."
"That must have been hard on you."
"It's just hard having no one."

The flashback was over and Marcus removed his hand. Then he hugged me.

"You poor thing!" Marcus shouted.
"Marcus." the man hissed.
"Hush Nicholas! This girl has no one in the world that cares for her!" Marcus said still hugging me.
"No one?" Nicolas asked.
"No one and she lives by herself in a small apartment near the school."
"Well come on then." Nicolas said putting four fingers on my forehead like Marcus did.
And I feel into a deep sleep.
