Just grumbling about work.
So yesterday, well now Tuesday, this guy came in the store. He looks to be about as old as my dad, with the audacity to always try to flirt with me. He went too far the last time I spoke to him for more than a minute, and I told him not to do it again. So tell me why this fool had nerve to saunter up to me while I'm obviously on my lunch break, look down my cleavage(which I admit was out, but not intentionally) and ask me about my business before trying to sit with me. I was disgusted, and still am. It disturbs me, this man old enough to be my father, asking me about sex. Ugh. I wonder if I can get him banned from the store...
On a lighter note, today was much better in terms of customers.
Nothing special honestly, it was quite busy for the day before Thanksgiving. A girl and her mom came to my line and checked out, getting some cocoa while they were there. So I was talking like I usually do, and they mentioned chocolate. I don't mind gabbing, and of course it's always in our interest to upsell our products, so I talked about how good the peppermint bark was before getting started. I didn't think much of it, but when I finished the cocoa, she was standing there with the bar of chocolate. I still didn't think much of it, until she handed the bar back to me. "I bought it for you," she said. Huh? There are still people in real life that are so randomly kind?! I mean, it's just chocolate, but it's the thought that counts, right? I was speechless.
