i haven't posted here in a while!
So, over the past 6 weeks I've been in rehearsals for the school play (I finally got a part after trying so hard during sophomore year to get in one! xD) and the premiere of the show was tonight and I thought it'd be a train-wreck but it was absolutely amazing!! I don't even know where to start!! xD okay, so before the show started everyone was like freaking out and totally nervous and all the grips and techs were all over the place trying to get all the props in the right order and it was chaotic blissfulness! xD
So after the show started everyone was freaking out over their lines and cues and stuff but in the end everything went so smoothly and the audience loved us! It was so funny though because in one scene I was supposed to get mad that this one chick who is flirting with my boyfriend so I'm supposed to slam the glass that I'm putting on the tray (I'm the maid of the house), but the only thing is that I had no idea that there would be actual drink in it (to replicate alcohol) so when I slammed it the stuff went all over the place and I managed to knock one of the glass plates off the table accidentally and it slammed on the ground without breaking! It had to be Jesus. xD lol! I don't think people noticed it wasn't supposed to be in there though since this one girl came up to me and was like, "that part was so funny." xD lol the show was so much fun and everyone had an adrenaline rush afterward.
At the end we had to greet the audience as they left the theatre but we had to get to the front of the theatre by going out the back stage door and rushing to the front before people started to let out. it was so funny because we (the actors) were all running through the school hallway and we're all like, "Run we have to hurry!" xD It was the best. xD I wish I'd been in a play sooner. Now I don't want it to be over after these next 3 shows because it's so amazing being part of a show. The feeling is undescribabable! I want to continue doing theatre after this! ^___^
