So, today in the parking lot at McDonalds, I was trying to get into my mom's car at the same time as this mom and her two kids are trying to get into the car next to us. Since I couldn't reach the door until they got in, the mom told the kids in Japanese, "Hurry up and get in the car; that Onee-chan's trying to get into hers."
Naturally, I was thrilled to have understood that, considering how much I suck at interpreting native speakers. What thrilled me more, though, was that I was referred to me as "Onee-chan." xD I'm such a dork.
