Mood; better than it was at this time yesterday
Listening to; a very potter musical, search it on YouTube and watch it. possibly the best thing ever... especially if you’re a fan of Harry Potter.
And with that, I jump right into my reviews, today I review naruto (I know I know, so far only animes. I’ll do something else next time.)
Okay, naruto, I guess I should start at the beginning. I have a friend named Jeff. He’s probably my best friend, and he has always liked naruto since it started. And during our senior year we had the same exact schedule minus one class both semesters. During these long days together we talked about our fandoms (except in Mrs. Howiths class stingy old b***h) naruto were among his. Well after high school I didn't have a job or school and I did have an excessive amount of free time. So well if my best friend likes it I better give it a try. I watched it on cartoon network... that was unpleasant...
Short review of naruto on cartoon network; it sucks.
So how could my reasonable friend like this crap? Well I asked him. He told me to watch the Japanese subbed versions on the internetz. Well I did... and I was hooked. the character at the beginning are well characterized and while not being that cool (except kakashi) they are put into situations that interesting enough to keep you watching to see what happens. Then they introduce the supporting cast and this is where the series really shines. Every one of them is interesting and well rounded and some of them really do deserve the fandoms they garner. The fillers are a mixed bag some of them are boring and some of them are fall out of your chair funny (Kakashi's mask and Shino laughs are my favorites).
The main story is kind of weird and schizophrenic. They spend the first third of the series bringing the characters together and having them bond with each other and after then once the bad guy is established the story seems like it's going to go one way and then does something totally different and while plot twists keep a show vibrant and new they should not contradict previous parts of the series. Sasuke is where my problems with this series start.
Review of sasuke; he is a ditchdigger in the form of a slut. As a child prodigy he is the best in school and at the outset of the series. However as the story progresses he remains where he started while everyone works hard to make improve themselves and their skills. Well people start getting as strong as or stronger than him... instead of working hard like everyone else and improving his skills, which is offered to him by kakashi on more than one occasion. No instead of that the bad guy offers him more power when he actually intends to kill and possess sasuke's body. And after being very obviously evil and even attacking him he goes "wow this sounds like a good idea" dumps his friends and joins him...
The story then shifts from friendship, bonding, and chasing your dreams to getting back sasuke because the girl naruto likes likes sasuke and they formed a bond. Which sasuke ditched. Well after that fails the rest of the series is basically two seasons of filler sometimes alluding to the actual story without actually moving things along. Then like inuyasha the animators got tired of nothing happening and stopped. And like inuyasha is about to do restarted the series with another series Naruto; Shippuden.
Shippuden is I assume Japanese for "has jumped the shark" so in other words the title is Naruto; Has Jumped The Shark. And I’m not going to a review of shippuden because I’ve only seen the first two seasons and I’m not going to watch the rest until I know there is end somewhere.
As for the march-up
Orihime Inuoe vs. Kagome idon'tknowherlastname
The useless girls of inexplicably popular animes. The versions I’m using are Orihime right before she gets kidnapped by ulqui-never going to evolve as a character-orra and Kagome at the end of the anime.
