100 Questions [part 2]: Sebastian Hampshire Howards
Part 2: Growing Up
((This is hard... I have to be careful not to contradict myself!))

15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
Pretty good, if you count being beat up at school for being a band geek. Which I wasn't, I might add. I was a teacher's pet of Mr. Kurosawa's. I assume it's because I spent my free hours during school in his office as his unofficial assistant.

16. What is your earliest memory?
Playing peek-a-boo with my dad and a face mask.

17. How much schooling have you had?
A lot, actually. I sorta started my education when I was two. Since both my parents worked full days, they had to leave me in day care. That's where I learned to read. When I five, I went to a private school. I went there until I finished at 16. After that was two years of higher education. That was cut a semester short though, when I joined the Rangers. So if you count day care, that's 18 years of education. I've been learning dentistry in classes and more recently as an apprentice for the past five years now.

18. Did you enjoy school?
Yeah, it was fun. I always got good grades.

19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
After I joined the Rangers. There are several classes you have to take before the Medics can begin practicing.

20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.

My parents, of course! I always wanted to be like Dad, so smart and strong and gentle. I also wanted to be like Mom, organized and efficient. That music teacher, Mr. Kurosawa, was a bit of a role model too I guess. He was a good man who loved music.

21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
Just fine! Well, there was some tension. At first my folks were leery of letting me join the Rangers. Dad was alright with it though, after I explained that I'd clearly be signing up for the Medical division and not somewhere else that was more dangerous or less... glamorous, I guess would be the best word. Other than that though, they treated me like a typical only child. I loved every moment of their attention, and in return I didn't mind living up to their hopes and dreams in the slightest.

22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A doctor. Well, dentist isn't much a long shot though.

23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
Reading, I guess. School, definitely.

24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
Every single adult on the street called me a sweetheart at one point or another. I was quiet and polite, so teachers were often surprised to find out that I could understand and join in on some of their lunchtime jokes.

25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
Eh, I wasn't really that popular with the other kids. I mean, they weren't mean to me, but I preferred the company of adults.

26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
Honestly, probably my parents on the day I was born. But I think the real answer you're looking for is when I was 14. I went out with this girl for maybe two months. I can hardly remember her name though. I think it started with an M...

27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
Virgin!

28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.
Obviously, my parents were a big influence. I'm in the Medical division of the Rangers now. I signed up after seeing a flier glued to the side of cornerstore. They were looking for "good doctors willing to the serve the poor and unfortunate". It was almost a whim that I joined, but helping people is what a doctor does, and that's what I wanted to do. I sorta just ended up in dentistry, it wasn't my first choice. But, it was interesting, I liked it, and they needed people who could handle the awesome powers of Novocaine responsibly.
