not sure if anyone reads my journal, but this was too good not to share for those who do read it.....thoughts???? icon_biggrin.gif if you have to ask what it is, then you won't be as excited as I am. I've been working hard to get this on the table for the last 8 months, but all the work was done by the hands of diversaurus, dev. extraordinaire

    Interesting... So announcements will cost gold? Will it come directly out of the guild funds? or will it come from the poster's personal funds?

    I hope this doesn't sound corny but Your hard work is worth it. I hope you are proud of it as the users are proud of you.

    Thank you for the wonderful things you help with. It might not be as "out there" as an EI (For lack of a better explanation of what I am attempting to say) but looking at the comments so far there are people who notice. HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!

    Ooh nice.
    I can't wait until this is released!

    I have a few questions though, how much does it cost exactly to send 1 message?
    We don't use half gold (.5) so how does it come out to 5 gold for only 2 users?
    And how many users can we send a message at 1 time? Will there be a maximum like 200 users per group announcement?

    Yay! This will be extraordinarily useful to my guild! Thank you so much for making this feature! A question: What do you mean by "Sending group announcements for your guild with 2 members will cost your guild account 5 whopping pieces of gold"? Will the announcements be charged by the guild's member number? If so, that'll be extremely disadvantageous for large guilds. I would suggest instead having 1 fixed fee for all guilds.

    Anyway, I'm extremely excited about this. We've been waiting for a feature like this for ages! Thank you!

    thanks for everyone's feedback icon_smile.gif I wanted to answer some of your questions, and the rest will have to be surprises with the FAQs once we launch!

    Insanity_Is_Freedom, Hydra-Star and Ungoliath     : Yes, it will cost gold that comes out of the guild account. The cost will vary depending on the number of guild members (algorithmically set). When you go to create the announcement, it will let you know how much will be required to send - the FAQs will have the complete table.

    Aerobe : see above for gold questions. The message will be sent to all guild members.

    Ben229 : No, you won't be able to pick just to crew.

    Pilotslover: still haven't seen it yet. heh icon_smile.gif

    Everyone else - thanks for the encouragement and hope you guys make guilds a crazy mess of activity!
