Okay, you mentioned not having anywhere to turn, right? Like forums and such? So I've been doing a little research. I knew I'd come across stuff like that before, so I went through and found the stuff again. Here are a few examples and a little bit of what they are:

http://www.aspiesforfreedom.com/ - a social connection and resource website for people (or families that have said people) with Asperger's. It is by and for Aspies (as they are affectionately known. It is frequently used by Aspies, themselves). The founder is an Aspie, himself.

http://iautistic.com/autistic-forgiveness.php - From what I can find, this is just an article in opposition to Aspies for Freedom (the website mentioned above, in case you didn't read the name of it, just the description). It was also written by an autistic person, but it is unclear the exact diagnosis and the article is more generalized than just for people with Asperger's.

http://www.wrongplanet.net/ - This is also by and for Aspies. It has a discussion forum, a blogging feature, a chatroom, and an article section. There are several forums listed to the right of the main page.

http://www.autismspeaks.org/ - I added this one because I like to be well-rounded with what I suggest. I do not personally advocate this one, but I didn't want to preclude your own opinions. This is NOT by Aspies or Auties (people with other forms of autism) and it does not seem to offer anything like a discussion board for Aspies and Auties. It does offer hints at research being done into the causes, ways to diagnose, and, of course, a cure. It should be noted that Aspies for Freedom has opposing arguments that you may (or may not) want to view available on the home page of their site.

http://www.aspie.com/ - This seems to be more of an informative site that requires membership. The creator is an author who is, apparently, well known for books on the subject of Asperger's Syndrome.

Ah. I'll finish up there, for now. I have a few more, if you want them, too. Just say the word. I'm fairly certain, though, that those are the main ones.
