Okay, there is SO much I can say about the Twilight series! Yes, I have read it, and liked reading it. The first book, anyways. Of course, I think Bella and Edward's relationship is totally CRAZY, and they are pretty much just OBSESSED, and in 'lust' with each other. However, I liked the descriptive words, and the obsessiony parts, because it gave me RP ideas. (IE: Feather's character Revenge, LOL!) And so, it was fun to read, and laugh at.
HOWEVER. The 4th book was s**t, m'kay? I hear ALL the popular-preppy girls at my school giggling and squealing over it, and it makes me want to punch them into some ******** sense. The 4th book was ridiculous! Meyer's writing was totally MESSED UP, people! *Flails arms, as if if to bring more attention to my point* The WHOLE book was like a god damned FAN FIC. It didn't even seem like she wrote it. It felt like she wrote whatever the fan-girls wanted to hear! (Urrr.. READ.) Because, seriously, Bella getting horny, and pressuring Edward into sex before she went vampire-? And just HAPPENING to get pregnant-? One, have you ever heard of BIRTH CONTROL!? And two, did Bella just NOT THINK about when was the WRONG time to have sex-?! And since WHEN did all this sex s**t just come into the story, huh!? You don't hear much, or anything, about it in the previous books! And so all of the sudden, it just pops in, in the 4th book!? No. Just NO! That was not the BEST book out of the series! That was the WORST! I felt like Bella was TOTALLY out of character, honestly. And why does that seem SOOOO romantic? I'm PRETTY SURE, if those preps at my school, got all knocked up at 18, or whatever, they would NOT find it to be romantic, or anything fun at all. Just, COME ON, PEOPLE. That is SO f**ked up!
And the movie! Oh my gosh, okay, if the movie had not been supposedly modeled after the book, I admit, it would have been a good movie. But, since it's SUPPOSED to be modeled after the book, it was crap. Seriously. Just yuck. I hate hearing girls squealing over it. It's not that great, in my opinion.
NOT TO MENTION... Have you seen ALL the merchandise-?! The Twilight series is worse than Harry Potter! It's just turned into a HUGE money making business! (That's probably why the 4th book is so sh**ty, to make money!) It was bad enough that places like Hot Topic are just EATING IT ALL UP, but I went to WALMART, YES. F**king WALMART, and was horrified to see Twilight products there. You cheap bastards! Just what the hell!? That series was sacred to it's devoted, original fans, before it became insanely popular, and ruined. And now you can find that cheap s** EVERYWHERE. Even WALMART, for crying out LOUD!

Now Gaia. GaiaOnline, I loved you for years. You were the best site ever, seriously. But NOW, ZOMG... Gaia has become a money-making scheme now, too!! All these damn CashShop items! That is ALL they care about now! And WHAT. THE. HELL. I thought this site was rated PG-13? They are REALLY pushing the line with these newer Cash items! The Alruna’s Rose (I’ll admit—the OTHER items within it are cool, but the Succubus’s poses?…Just eew.) That was where it started, I think. And then the Anima item. And then that chocolate fondue Bunny thing! Totally gross. Gaia is jut rubbing up against the PG-13 line. * Shakes head * And it’s all because SEX SELLS EVERYTHING. I thought Gaia was DIFFERENT, but NOT ANYMORE.
And all these new cash items are screwing over all the old Gaia items. The Cash Shop items shoot WAY the f**k up there, and I don’t know if any one else has noticed, but the classic rare, expensive Gaia items, are DROPPING. INSANELY DROPPING. Do you remember the good old days, when you actually had to WORK HARD to get MCs? When those where the thing? And, if you were lucky, and could buy the MCs, you could make a killing? Well, those days are over. Gaia has been half-assing most of their latest MCs, and no one cares about them anymore. It’s ALL about the Cash Shop items.
And now, even old MCs are dropping to nothing. Remember when Nitemare, and Angelic Headbands, were the SH*T-? If you had one of them, you had to work really hard for it, and everyone stared in awe, and envy, at your avatar, if you happened to get one. But NOW, as I looked up random classic Gaia items, I’ve noticed that… They are NOT worth millions anymore! Nitemare Headbands, you can get for dirt cheap at about 190K, and Angelics are around 60K! NO. F**KING. JOKE. I feel AWFUL for anyone how had to actually WORK HARD to get one of those. Now they are worth tiny little fractions of what it used to take to get one. And same with a lot of other classic Gaia items, then even I own. I’m devastated to see that now my hard earned items are practically worthless, at least compared to what they used to be!
And now, Gaia has made it sickly slow to earn Gaia gold, without buying Cash Shop items, and selling them off. Seriously. I recently re-posted EVERY SINGLE POST I have made on Zuni’s account, in :icontemporalkitsunix:’s and I’s RP, and collected all of them into one solid forum. That’s around 400 posts on my OWN-! And you know how much gold I made-? About 6K. Not kidding. Maybe it was because I posted them all up into a guild forum, I don’t know, but that’s how it came out to be. That is dramatically LOW. And UNFAIR. I remember the good old Gaia days, when I could make that much in one day, not in WEEKS of posting. Sure, I spent virtually ALL day on Gaia, before hand, but even 5-7K a day isn’t much, when I spent all day on it, posting, and PMing people.
So, basically, Gaia isn’t original anymore, and it makes me very upset. They’re just like Twilight, and that IMVU site, and most of the other sites out there—Just in it to make money.
