More Than a Name or a Face in the Crowd
Who knows? I may actually write in this thing.
At this point, I hate religious nut-cases. Now, before you turn into an example of what I'm talking about, if you're modest about your Christianity and don't really give a damn about other religions out there (as in you don't flame them for not being Christian), you are not in the aforementioned group. On the other hand, if you attack the people who use 'Happy Holidays' instead of 'Merry Christmas,' I harbor a seething hatred, contempt, malice, and just about any other synonym of anger anyone can come up with, that rivals no other. Because of idiots like you, people are spending the '05 holidays bickering at each other and tearing the nation apart over a simple gesture of kindness.
You preach about all that is well and good, and yet you stoop to these kind of lows without fear or any idea as to why.
I hope you're proud of yourself.

I agree with you on the fact that the behavior of what I call 'the extremist' Christians over a simple few words is a more than senseless on their part. And have you been watching the news lately? A news anchor completely disreguarded and disrespected Khannukah and Jewish people by talking about Christmas and then saying, "Oh and happy Khannukah to .. those people that celebrate that.." and with a cast away of her arm and reluctant roll of her eyes.
I am completely tolerant of Christians, but I've come to find that many many other people of Christianity do not respect me for my beleifs or for anyone elses for that matter. I personally am starting to hate when people come up to me and ask in the bright eyed, eerily smiling way, "Why don't you beleive in God?" and even if I do have an answer they just continue, "But why?"
And now, everyone thinks I am an athiest. Nobody has ever heard of agnostic.
And that pissess me off more and more every time I think about it, and I understand how all of the athiests became their way.

Bottom line: Christianity is an over-dominant religeon and there needs to be something done about it.

Somehow you can take the words right out of my mouth, I havn't really been ranting lately, thank you for discussing this in your journal. :3
