Thought space : D
A space for my thoughts, regardless of how random they are.
WH00t!
So, I've been meaning to write a journal about this since last weekend, but because of the school play, 'Fiddler on the Roof,' I haven't had time >>;
Oh well.
Anyways, on with the new and such.
So, last weekend, May 21 - 25, the school band was able to take a trip to Chicago, Illinois! I had so much fun. The bus ride was about 14 hours long, and trying to fall asleep on a crowded bus was really hard. ;___;
I think I got maybe 6 hours of sleep on the way up. Though, I found myself fll of energy as we galavanted through Chicago on Friday. (We left Thursday night at like 7;3o and arrived Friday morning at like, 8.)
On Friday we got breakfast at some place called Perkins in Indiana. My friends and I actually had to ask some random couple what state we were in...
After we ate breakfast we traveled about two hours to Chicago where our first stop was the Museum of Science and Industry. It was cool and big. O w O We ate a 'Deluxe Box Lunch' there before looking around though..
After that we went...to Gino's Pizza! They had awesome upside down deep dish pizza. <3 Though the place was pretty grungy looking and graffitied. D': Oh well.
After that we watched the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. They were pretty nice to listen to, though after a while I got bored.
We then went to our hotel, Holiday Inn. It was /awesome/ inside. They had this whole tiki-looking thing going on inside. It was schweet. Even if when on of my roommates tried to make coffee and ended up making the coffee maker implode. Well, it actually just overflowed. Same thing.
The next day we ate breakfast in the hotel, and my room mates and I were late by ten minutes and we had to sit on the floor. D':

Then, for the next two hours, we were able to shop on the Magnificent Mile! There were awesome stores, that were really expensive ;___; I did manage to buy some stuff from the Hershey store and WalGreen's : P
After that, we left and went to Lunch at Connie's, this Italian restaurant with good pasta.
Then, our bus got 'hi-jacked' by some Mobsters and learned about Chicago history and such. It was cool to me, but I think that's because I've always wanted to be a gangster. Afterwards, we went to the Sear's Tower, this insanely tall building that lets you see Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. I really hate heights, and to make it worse, this really jerk-ish lady didn't let me ride the elevator up to the top with my compadres. D< What a poop.
Anyways. We then proceeded to go the Navy Pier, where we ate dinner, watched fireworks, and I made a Build-A-Bear for the first time ever. <3 He's a panda named Kichi-kun! He cost me $32, though D':
On Sunday, we packed up, ate breakfast at the hotel for the last time(we didn't have to sit on the floor this time), then we went to the Shedd Aquarium, which was pretty lame because we were only allowed in certain parts of the Aquarium D<
I did get my face painted though. 8D With a manta ray, because they are by far the best aquatic animal. And I made my own sand fish thing, so that was fun.
Afterwards, we went to the White Sox game! They lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates, but it was still fun. We had nosebleed seats, this guys kept trying to sell us beer, and I didn't get a funnel cake, but oh well. It was.. interesting. Especially when our band teacher was with us getting hot dogs, and he looks at his and says, 'I don't mean for this to be awkward, but these are really nice buns.'
He's such a weirdo. And whenever he was near me when I was taking pictures, he'd jump in...
Anywho. For dinner, we had the options of eating at Rock N' Roll McDonalds, Rainforest Cafe, or HardRock Cafe. My friends and I ended up eating at Rainforest Cafe. It was sooo cool inside. I haven't been to a RainForest Cafe since I was like, 11.
OMG. Then, we went to the Blue Man Group Concert! IT WAS AWESOME. They were great. They climbed over seats, took one of the band students from my school onto the stage for this little candle-lit dinner sketch, involving Twinkies, shest excretions, Jell-O, and a vaccuum. C:
It was awesome. For the finale, they put on strobe lights, and paper towels were thrown everywhere and stuff. It was great. [sigh]
Anyways, then we left the concert and headed home. Ahh, such a good weekend. We stopped at this rest stop to change, and there were these guys smoking outside and they kept talking us. It was funny. xP
Well, I need to go get ready for 'Fiddler'.
Adios <3

Peace, Love, and Band.

I hope you enjoyed it while you could, you band-quitting traitor.

Ew, you liked Gino's? I found the pizza whack, but the ambiance kind of cool. Although slightly too dark.

Ha. Eating on the floor. That's what you get for being late. xP
Wow. R-sensei awkwardness. He spent one too many minutes around my clan, in Chicago. But I've gotten used to him, I suppose.

[should write a journal about the trip] I think I would drown in memories before I could ever finish, though.

Ciao.
