To My Valentine

Days are long and drawn
A road to travel that's sometimes hard
Life never promises no troubles
Life never has guarantees

But the thing that can be counted on
When the journey is long and rough
Is that the single step we took back then
Has been just the one of many

Together we take what life hands us
Together we work as one
As long as I have you by my side
I know we can go on.

It may not be a bed of roses now
It may not be a perfect dream
But no matter what is happening
I've found my happiness in you

And so dear love I write you this
And share my heart's own thoughts
The day we joined our hearts in love
Is the day I treasure most.
