Augh!
Good lord, two posts in one day. True, I could simply add this on to the other one, but you know what? I don't want to, so nyeh.
I was surfing back through the older posts, just checking how much time has passed (it's been about...two years? Three years?), and it feels like a lot has changed. I'm a lot less tense these days (as can be completely refrenced by my lack of focus on using initials for people. Damn those councelors, their whole "phear t3h intrawebs!!!" rants got to me I guess.)
But I can't really ignore the fact that high school has changed me, even if it wasn't in the way that I was expecting. The adults in your life will always say that in high school you will discover yourself and figure out what you want to do in life and yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah. The truth is I just have more questions.
Friendships were forged, friendships were lost, and time just sort of...passed by. It always seems like the years go more quickly as each one arrives. I got a chuckle out of my first blog and how I seemed to think the lunch table was the center of the social network. Maybe that's just the Sicilian blood in me sweatdrop It was the food, I guess. Well, the lunch table seems to still be important, but it isn't the total measure of group hierarchy anymore. (Nope, now it's where you sit in relation to everyone you know in your classes. The coolest of us always sit in the back blaugh )
Let's see...how else have I changed? I curse a lot more, that's for damn sure. In fact, I once showed off my prowess to my friends. I also try to use more spanish in my daily life, even if it doesn't seem like it.
I got into some stuff I never thought even existed, and I've quested for more independence. I also got more into watching reality tv (Real chance at love reunion is playing right now)
Other than that? I don't really even know myself anymore, and that scares me a bit. What scares me more, though, is that there were some people I thought I knew, and believe you me, I changed that mindset VERY quickly once we got here.
