Staples managed to really irritate me today. Several days ago I ordered a new All-in-one printer that was, as per the web page, supposed to be wireless ready but ended up not being. When I received the darn thing, meaning I had to go and pick it up, I brought it home and my youngest girl opened it up and started reading the installation instructions. Eventually she got to the point where the instructions instructed you to "install the optional wireless adapter" if you wanted wireless... I flipped. Before I totally flipped I checked the Dell website for the wireless adapter but couldn't find it. I chatted with the Dell support and the person on the other end gave me a link to a bluetooth adapter for a computer even though I said I needed a wireless adapter for the printer. Sometimes foreign support sucks.
I ended up calling the Staples 800 number after I reviewed the web page for the printer and was told that further down in the detailed description it said that it was wireless capable and not "wireless ready". Tell me, what the ******** is the difference? Well to Staples "wireless ready and wireless capable" mean that it is optional I guess. Seriously, what the ******** is wrong with them or am I just stupid and don't know how to read?
I ended up taking it back to Staples and explained why I was returning it and they started laughing. I was still really pissed, not at them, but must have to admit I was having fun explaining why I was returning it and the call to 1-800-bit-meee number and the call. I also managed to embarass my daughter in the process. I had mentioned that I wanted to a beer right as I realized I had forgotten my wallet. The cashier mentioned that that her mom occasionally got carded and she was 45. I didn't even thing before asking if she was single. My daughter damn near died on the spot.
