So, life was good. I had a great Christmas break from school. If you all didn't know, I am a teacher and I love it.
Over the break, I've had some hardships after the day of festivities. My grandfather was put into a rest home. Who knows how much longer he has. We visited him over the break, and it just doesn't look good.
My grandmother on the other side of the family was put in the hospital due to some gall stones. Then she got pneumonia. Now she's in the ICU... again. She looks horrible too.
And then today, we put our dog to sleep. He was having problems controlling his potty problems; on top of that he was having seizures, he had cataracts on his eyes, he was having problems standing up, and just in pain sometimes. All he did was sleep. So, instead of having him suffer anymore, we decided as a family to have him put down. I don't know if it was the right decision or not. It hurts really badly to have him gone. The last thing I did was scratch him this morning. I was told to say goodbye to him Sunday night, but I did not do that this morning. I was hoping the procedure would be a whole lot more money. However, it was cheap. My father went a head with it. This is the first pet I've lost, and it may take me a while to get over it. This is my tribute to him, the best dog in the world.
Patches (December 25, 1994 - January 5, 2009) Godspeed, and RIP.

Sometimes, I need to just let it out verbally.
