Ghost Lantern Times, Crew Theory
Ghost Lanterns in Zen Gardens:
Spent a couple days to be sure I had this right but I believe the Lanterns show up at 6:30pm and stay until 6:30am. It seems there's an average of 4+ lanterns per screen where they do spawn.

Crew Theory:
I think if you crew with people that appear blue to your level (at least one or two) that you'll manage more drops than going with one that has members that are green and orange. With the tweaking they've done to the reward system, it seems your chances of drops go average or less but the numbers up a bit with blue members. It's just a theory though.
