((I started writing this before I began roleplaying, so yeah, and if I'm in your roleplay with a character named Jayce, then the description is vaguely close to that pic.))
Preface:
The ticking of the clock was liked thunder, but it was constant. I barely kept my eyes open as blood ran down my face and onto my shoulders, but I could see him drawing closer. The look of thirst on his face made my heart beat fast, I didn't know if he was going to kill me or not, "Please Don't. Don't kill me." I begged but my voice was nothing more than a breath. He smiled murderously, "We'll see about that." His laughter was the last thing I heard as my mind was swept away by darkness, there was a sharp pain and then nothing.
One:
The August afternoon was unbearable, beads of sweat ran down my forehead and dripped from the tip of my nose or chin. It was the hottest day I've ever suffered in Washington. Mom had all the fans in the house on, even the AC but it was still freakin' hot inside. My eleven year old sister Darcy continued to complain about the weather. "It'll pass dear, just calm down." Mother said as she sat in the small child pool that was filled to the top with water, sitting in the middle of the living room, Darcy sat on her lap. "Mom, I don't think I'll live through today!" Darcy whined. "Shut it pipsqueak, just be glad you can atleast fit in that dumb kiddy pool, dad is taking up the whole bathtub while reading his book." I snapped grumpily. I was too hot to care about my additude and was most likely to get grounded. "Stop it you two, I don't want you tearing out each other's throat." I sighed heavily and walked outside, sitting myself on the swinging seat on the porch. It was cooler out here than inside surprisingly. I yawned and glanced at the house acrossed the street, the new, beautiful neighbors were still moving things out of a U-haul truck. there were five people in the family, a married couple and their adopted children. The mother looked about twenty-four, had silky strawberry blonde hair that went down to her jawline, her ringlets bounce when she walked. Today she wore a lacey white tank top and short shorts with flip-flops. Her husband wore shorts and a T-shirt, he had long bleach blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail and looked a year or two older than his wife. The one daughter wore a pink flowy dress with cute opened toed white heels, her straight chestnut hair pulled into a high ponytail. There were two brothers, one had a chocolate colored hair that was buzz cut and he looked frightening because of how muscled he was, almost remained me of a bear. He wore a light blue wife beater and a pair of khaki shorts. I looked at the other brother, which he always made me have bad feelings. He was about six foot two and had black hair that hung down to his chin and his bangs hung down to his eyes. He wasn't dressed like the others, infact, he was dressed as if it was cool outside. He wore a Black T-shirt under an opened white long sleeve shirt with a black jacket that was opened over top of that, and a pair of black pants. He had several piercings in each ear and a celtic knot tattoo on the side left of his neck. The funny thing was that the whole family looked a like, perfectly muscled, slender, really pale, and weirdest of all, they had golden eyes. They must have wore contacts or something because it was so strange. I sighed and watched them continue to unpack, the daughter and scary bear of a son leaned against a black cobalt 2008. There was a yellow Dodge Viper GTS Coupe and a red Mercedes Benz SL500 Convertible sitting in their garage. A big forest green jeep was parked next to the cobalt. I noticed after a few seconds that the strange son was staring in my direction, I felt my heart race in my chest because his look was for angry and almost killer. I looked away, but felt his gaze burn into me. The unfortunate news was that I would be going to the same school as the three and would have to spend my last two years of high school with the freak son and only one year with the preppy looking daughter and the bear. I groaned at the thought and glanced at the strange boy out of the corner of my eye. He seemed to be smiling for a split second before his expression returned to the cold, hard stone face that I hated. I was getting tired of his constant staring so I turned my head towards him and stuck my tounge out. He seemed amused by it, but slightly since I saw the corners of his mouth twitch upward. Yet, he still continued to look at me. I got up and went inside, why would he be staring at me of all people? I was a pale girl with pale blue eyes and short black hair that made me look like a boy, not to mention I was sort of flat chested for a girl of sixteen. I sat on the couch and thought about how much a I looked like a tall stick. I wasn't something most people noticed, except when I was the target of bullying. I ran my fingers through my straight, thin hair and sighed, it was all damp with sweat. "Are you okay, honey?" My mother asked worriedly. I nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine." "She's still recovering from the neighbor boy's glaring." Darcy giggled, putting her hand over her mouth as she did so. Mother looked at me, raising an eyebrow. "It's nothing mom, he's just a really weird kid who was just staring me down, it's nothing new." I said and yawned. Mom pursed her lips and looked at the TV and then back to me, "Well, you should change out of your sweaty clothes and into something dry and comfortable." I looked down at my clothes and frowned. I was drenched in sweat, no wonder the neighbor kid was staring at me. "You're right." I said and got up off the couch and went upstairs and into my room. The walls were a deep indigo color to match my crimson, gold, and deep indigo bed set. A small desk with a laptop sat in the corner near the window on the opposite wall. A trunk sat at the end of my bed, two night stands were on both sides of my bed, a radio sat on the right night stand and a lamp and alarm clock sat on the left night stand. I walked over to my closet that was on the wall to the right of the door, which was opposite to my bed. I opened the glass mirror doors of my closet and opened the white dresser that stood inside my closet to the left. On the right side of the closet a few clothes hung on hangers and shoes were on the floor. I opened the top drawer and grabbed a thin, long, grey tanktop and shut the drawer before opening the third drawer which had all my shorts in it and grabbed my black gym shorts. I tossed my sweaty clothes into the dirty clothes hamper and pulled on my clean, dry clothes before running back down the stairs and into the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water out of the freezer. "It's nicer outside than it is in here." I said walking into the living room and stopped. Darcy sat in the kiddy pool while mom wore a towel over her wet shorts like a skirt, talking to the neighbors who sat on the couch. My heart stopped dead in my chest, my eyes wide. All five were in my house, sitting on the couch, except the strange boy who sat on the arm of the couch. They glanced at me. "Oh, That's my eldest daughter Thesa, although she likes being called Seth," My mom said smiling and motioned me to come into the living room, "Seth, dear, this is Clark, Elizabeth, Brad, Stacie and Jayce Elder." she said motioning first the father of the family, the mother, the bear, the daughter and finally to the freak. "H-hi?" I stammered, my fingers locked tightly around my frozen bottle of water. My mother glanced at me worriedly and then looked back to the family. "Anyways, Seth will be turning seventeen on all hallows eve." My mother shifting in her chair bit, "Darcy will be twelve on Chistmas." Clark and Elizabeth laughed together, "Well, it's certainly interesting that your children where born on holidays." Clarks said in his angelic voice smiling warmly. "Well, our lucky three were born about four months apart, which is nice for us, gives us time to plan out their birthdays parties, though it used to be fun, but now they're stubborn about it, especially Jayce." Elizabeth sang musically, "But Stacie still enjoys parties." "Girls are so much easier to raise, they cooperate easier." My mother laughed, "But Seth isn't as easy to care for as Darcy. Alteast Darcy knows what she wants to do with her future." "I'm standing right here you know," I said as I managed to open the bottle of my now, somewhat, frozen water and drank the melted ice water. My mother rolled her eyes, "Yes Seth, I acknowledged your presence. You seemed to be touchy whenever someone speaks of you, it's like you believe you're invisible or something." "You have no idea then, well, I'm going to crawl in a dark hole and hide there for awhile." I left the living room and went outside again, seating myself on the swinging seat. I closed my eyes and listened to the murmuring coming from the inside. I hadn't noticed anything until I realized the swinging seat stopped moving, my eyes snapped open and I nearly screamed when I saw someone next to me, but I put my hand over my mouth. It was just Jayce, I exhaled in relief. "You seem to be quiet the jumpy one." His voice was so empty that empty was an understatement, it seemed....dead. I scowled at my feet as I drew my legs to my chest, "So? What's that have to do with anything?" I asked sharply. "Nothing mainly, just stating a fact," He turned his head to look at me, his expression was unreadable, "Seems you have an additude also." "Shut up, you don't know anything about me." I didn't even look at him as I clentched my fist in a tight ball. He sighed, "I actually wouldn't if you mother stopped talking for a single second." I glared at him, "don't you dare say anything about my mother," I hissed, "So what is she talks continuously? You're too quiet for your own good." "Hmmm. You do have a point there, but what do you know about me?" He asked, a hint of humor in his voice. I looked back to my feet, "I hate you." "Good." We were silent for the longest time before his family came filing out the door, saying good-bye before heading back over to their house. My mom stood in the doorway and looked at Jayce and me before going back inside. "I must be going, I'll be watching you though." Jayce said before going down the steps. My jaw dropped, "What are you? Some kind of stalker?" I asked suddenly annoyed by him. "Something like that." He said as he continued down the cement path that led down to the sidewalk. I watched him cross the street and start acrossed his lawn and went inside his house. I jumped up of the swinging seat and ran inside, up to my room and closed the thick gold curtain. That....that freak! I went over to my trunk that sat at the bottom of my bed and opened it up. I dug through it and found a pair of my dad's old binoculars and walked over to teh window and looked through the binoculars and saw Jayce at his window, one corner of his mouth turned upward. I lowered the binoculars and saw him perfectly fine at his window acrossed the street. My face flared bright red with embarassment and I just wanted to die right then and there. I crawled away from my window and put the binoculars back. I spent the last few hours of the daylight downstairs watching TV with Darcy and my mom. Dinner time was the first time I saw dad today since he had been hiding in the bathtub from the sweltering heat all day. After dinner i helped mom with the dishes and put away the leftovers. "Are you okay sweetie?" Mother asked me. "Yeah, just fine. Why?" I looked at her slightly puzzled before glancing at the dish I was washing. She shook her head, "Nothing, just wondering, you seemed alittle...odd earlier." "It's just the heat, mom. Well, I'm going for a short jog. I'll be back soon." I said and dryed off my hands and kissed my mom and went upstairs and grabbed my ankle socks and put them on then put my running shoes on also, grabbing my ipod and my watch from my desk before running out the door. A nice jog sounded good right now since I had alot to think about. I put in my earphones and turned on my Ipod, a soft beat began to play as I put on my watch and then started to run. I thought of nothing for the first few minutes before a series of thoughts rushed through my mind. My first thoughts of were of that stupid freak Jayce, he was just frightening and annoying at the same time, it was driving me nuts as to why that was. What made him scary? Besides the obvious staring, quietness, they way he dressed today and what he had last said to her, plus the feelings she got. Now what made him annoying? Was it because he had snuck up on her and started harassing her.....sort of. I growled profanities to myself as I realized I was starting to think foolishly of him. I continued to jog, I looked at the time and realized I had been jogging longer than I thought, I stopped at the end of a street. I looked around and sighed as I realized where I was, my watched said eight o' clock. I turned around and jogged back to the house, never noticing that someone had followed me. When I arrived home, Darcy sat on the porch steps with a ball and mitt. I walked over to Darcy and sat next to her smiling alittle. "Hey lil' sissy. Want to play some catch?" I asked her Darcy looked at me and nodded, "Sure." "Okay, just give me a second to put my ipod away and get my mitt." I got up and went inside, dashing up the stairs and into my room and set my ipod on the desk and grabbed my mitt out of my trunk. I went downstairs and outside. "Ready Darcy?" I asked smiling. "Yep!" Darcy said and ran to the edge of our lawn and pitched the ball to me, I wasn't ready yet so the ball hit my in the head and I fell to the ground. "Hey! Watch it." I sat up and rubbed my forehead, loud laughter bellowed from the other side of the street. Brad and Jayce had been watching us. "Can't catch a ball?" Brad called out laughing still, Jayce shook his head as amusement could be easily seen in his eyes although his expression was unreadable. I growled and got to my feet before finding the ball and picked it up and tossed it to Darcy and then flipped them off. "Ooh. You used the finger, I'm shaking." Brad said acting scared and then laughed again. My fist clentched, "You'll be twitching when I'm done with you!" I snarled in their direction. Darcy tossed the ball back to me and I caught it this time in my mitt. "I'd like to see that happen." Brad called out and folded his arms acrossed his chest, he was a couple inches taller than Jayce. I ignored him this time and tossed the ball back to Darcy. We continued to toss the ball back and forth as Brad taunted us continuously and Jayce stood by watching me mostly. "Put some more muscle into it!" Brad said, making me finally snap. I whirled in his direction and started across the street. "Ooh, so I finally pissed her off." he said smiling. I stopped as soon as I stood infront of Brad. "Listen buddy, if you've got a problem with me then you can take and shove it right up your-" "Now, now. There are children present." Jayce said calmly, "Brad, maybe we can find something more entertaining to do than bothering Thesa." "My name is Seth!" I snapped, "Jeez, my parents gave me the most bizzare name. Sheesh!" Jayce rolled his eyes, "Fine, Seth." he turned to his brother, "Maybe there is something on TV." he said. Brad made a face, "Oh. all right." he said and then grinned at me, "Maybe next time we'll see how much harm you can do to me." he laughed abit before going into his house. "Why that-" "Hush." Jayce said instantly, in an unfriendly tone. "Learn to control your temper, it's going to get you in a lot of trouble one day." Darcy's voice came from across the street, "Thesa! C'mon!" I looked at Jayce and sighed, "I don't have to listen to you or your stupid advice." I said before I turned around and went to cross the street, but something cold grabbed my arm, goosebumps suddenly showed up on my arms. I looked at Jayce and realized he had a hold of my arm. "Seth, I'm serious. There are very dangerous things out there and you'll get yourself killed because of your fat mouth." Jayce was very serious when he said this to me. I blinked and slowly nodded, "O-okay." I stuttered as he released my arm and I realized that it was his hands that were so cold. Jayce turned and walked off into his house, saying nothing more to me. I turned around and walked onto my lawn and stood a few feet away from Darcy and continued to play catch with her until it was nine o' clock. The day was very, very weird. I looked at my arm where Jayce had grabbed me and put my hand over it, it was still alittle cool. I went up to my room and sat on my bed after closing the door behind me. I stared at my mirrored closet doors and sighed, Plain Jane. I turned the radio on and found one of my two favorite stations, Katy Perry's 'I kissed a girl' was on and unfortunately, I loved the song. I sang along with it and a few other songs before I dozed off into a dreamless sleep.
Two:
The sun was shining through my window when I woke up the next day, I glanced at my clock and groaned it was eight fourty-five. I crawled off my bed and fell with a thud onto the floor. I dragged myself over to the window and made sure it was open. It wasn't, dad must have shut it when I was asleep, I thought and opened the window and got to my feet. I pushed the curtain aside and yawned as I stretched abit. I sluggishly went over to my dresser and grabbed my under garments, a forest green shirt and pair of plaid bermuda shorts that were brown, khaki, and forest green. I grabbed my other things and went to the bathroom and locked the door. Mom had put fresh towels on the towel rack as usual. I set my clothes on the towel rack and set my bag of my personal hygiene products on the bathroom counter. I turned on the water to see if there was any warm water. When the water was warm enough, I undressed and got in the shower. I washed my hair twice since my hair had been damp with sweat yesterday and I washed my body about seven times before I just stood in the shower, relaxing. After awhile of Darcy's pounding on the bathroom door, I got out of the shower and got dressed. I brushed my hair and teeth, put on alittle make up, which was a thin layer of mascara, eyeliner, and abit of lip gloss. I tossed my towel in the hamper along with my dirty clothes, grabbed my bag of personal hygiene products and slipped past Darcy before she could say anything to me and shut my bedroom door behind my. I put my bag away in the night stand drawer and went over to my laptop and turned it on. It started up quickly and I logged on to the internet and went to check my e-mails and saw a message from a someone I didn't know. I opened the e-mail and read it:

Hello dearest friend,
I couldn't help but to notice you fell out of bed and then crawled to your window, it was...amusing actually. Also, I like your outfit but a different color would do you much justice. Besides, I noticed your sister is rather annoying when she screaming for you to get out of the shower, hopefully, you'll allow me to punt her across a football field. Well, I guess I have to get to the point, I will give you three tries at trying to find out who I am.
Sincerely, Anonymous.
I groaned, I all ready knew who it was. I looked out my window and saw Jayce watching me from his window. I waved and then put my fingers to the keys and started to type my reply.
Hello Jayce,
Well, I guess you stuck to your word of watching me, Stalker....But your game has been ruined and absolutely no fun at all, you should really try to find a better game to play. And if you come up with a good enough bargin then maybe I'll let you punt my sister across a football field. Well, I'm going to go get some breakfast and the head to the grocery store to get some things for the next few weeks, If you want, you can come along and we could talk some more.
Sincerely, the psychotic victim
I hit 'send' and instantly got a message in return in half a second. I blinked at the screen and looked out my window at Jayce but he wasn't in his room, I heard someone knock on our door. "Wow." I mouthed and then opened the messege.

Bingo. And maybe you've got yourself into some trouble since I make proposals that no one can refuse. It's my specialty. Well, I'll be over in just a second.
Sincerely, Jayce Elder
I heard the downstairs door open and Darcy's whiny voice. I shut off my computer and pulled on my backless brown tenni shoes before bolting down the steps. I ran into the kitchen and stole Darcy's banana and milk. I chugged the glass of milk and started to peel the banana when Darcy came into the kitchen. "Hey! That's my banana! And you drank all my milk you fat cow." Darcy said angrily and started to chase after me to get her banana back. "Give it back!" she came close to grabbing my shirt. I looked over my shoulder laughing, seeing she had tripped, I hit something hard and fell on my rear end. "Oww." I said and looked up seeing Jayce and grinned, "oops?" Jayce didn't smile, nor did he look angry, but his eyes seemed to be smiling though. He helped me to my feet. "Stealing food from alittle kid?" he asked humored. "What, I'm hungry, atleast I'm not diggin out of a-" Darcy pounced on me, knocking me to the floor again. "Okay! Okay! Have your stupid banana back!" I handed her the banana, "Would you like your milk back too?" "Eewww, no. Keep the milk, I don't want it back after it has been in your stomach." Darcy said making a face, "But buy me a candy bar at the store and I just might forgive you." I sighed, "You're a nasty bugger." I bucked her off my back and got to my feet. "Okay, let me get my wallet atleast and then we'll go." I went into the kitchen since Darcy chased me into the living room and got my wallet from it's hiding place above the fridge. I passed Darcy as she came into the kitchen and as I went into the living room. "Okay, let's go." Jayce folded his arms acrossed his chest, "Perhaps you'll allow me to kick her into space instead." he said amused by what just happened. I shrugged, "Maybe, but what do you have to offer?" I asked as I walked to the front door and walked outside. "How about.....I won't watch you like a stalker?" Jayce said following beside me. "No, that won't do because you might watch me like a parent or law enforcement." Jayce looked at me and blinked, "Can you read minds?" he asked teasingly. I knew it was joke by the sound of his voice. I shook my head, "No way. I tend to be creative." I said and rubbed the back of my neck, "Can I ask you something?" "Sure." I took a deep breath, "I'm sorry if it sounds weird but how come you never make any facial expressions? It's like you're carved of stone or had a botox injection or something weird like that." Jayce was silent for awhile. "Because, It only makes it easier for people to know what I'm feeling and it makes me feel like I'm showing weakness." he said finally and looked at me, "I don't want someone to find my weakness because....they could use it against me and I'll have to pay that price." "Oh," I said and looked down at the ground. I hadn't grasped the full understanding of it and he seemed to sense it. "It's difficult to explain." He said as we turned onto a different street. I looked at him, "Then explain, I might understand." I would try very hard to understand and if it was something that really was diffuclt then I would just give up on it. "Another time." I sighed. We walked in silence to the store, when we got there, we were still very quiet. We walked around, getting things that I knew we needed at home. Jayce and I made very little talk every now and then. We paid for the groceries and left the store. This silence made me feel like I was going to go insane. I needed to say something, anything. "Umm, Jayce, I know this is a really odd question, but you want to hang out sometime? I mean, maybe just before school starts, my family and I usually go camping, maybe you and you're family would like to come with us." I said letting my eyes flicker to him and then to the ground. "How long will the trip be?" He asked softly. I thought about it for a moment, "Well, we usually go for about a week or so," I said with a slight shrug. "I'll discuss it with my family, then we'll talk about it." He said. I smiled, "Okay." He looked at me, the corners of his mouth twitched upward for a moment. The rest of the walk back was just mostly questions of things my family and I did when we went camping. He looked alittle interesting as I spoke about it for the longest time. When we got back to my house he offered to help put away the groceries and I gladly accepted. Darcy, mom, and dad all seemed to spy on me and Jayce as we put the groceries away.
"Hmmm. You're family is acting as if there was something starting to go on between the two of us." Jayce said as his foot lightly pushed off the flooring of the porch, making the swinging seat move back and forth. I curled my legs up onto the seat, "Well, then let them think what they want, because I don't think there is anything going on between us. We're just talking, not much else." I sighed and closed my eyes for just a moment. "True, but if you let them lead theirselves on then, we might have a big problem." I looked at him, his golden eyes were on me, they were just like the eyes of a predator and it sent a chill through me. He seemed to notice and looked away, towards his house. I looked over to his house also and saw his sister Stacie staring at us. I blinked and looked away as soon as my pale blue eyes met her golden eyes that burned with an unspeakable rage. Jayce said something softly, making me look at him and then over to where Stacie stood five seconds ago, she had suddenly just vanished. I glanced at Jayce and saw the corner of his mouth pulled upward. I suddenly realized my eyes were wide with surprise and quickly looked down at my feet and took a deep breath as my eyes shut. "Maybe I should go," Jayce rose to his feet and rubbed the back of his neck as he sighed, "Perhaps we can e-mail each other still." "Oh," I said and made a face, "Actually, I think my friend Kimberly is coming shortly." Jayce nodded, "Well then, we'll talk later." He turned and walked down the steps. "Sorry." I called out to him as he walked off the edge of my lawn and onto the street. Darcy came out onto the porch and sat on the swinging seat. "He's kind of creepy. He looks at you as though you're something to eat." she said walking Jayce disappeared into his house. "Shut up Darcy." I said and got up, "Anyways, I'm going to go get something to drink before Kimberly arrives, I can't believe I forgot I had plans with her," Darcy looked at me puzzled, "You never made plans with Kimberly." "Well, I'm going to." I snapped, "I'm not going to stay in this house with you, annoying little turd." "I'm not a turd, fart-head." "You only wish I was a fart-head, bony butt!" Darcy was angry now and I could easily tell. She looked as if she were about to cry. She got up and ran into the house, I could hear her running up the stairs. "Thesa!" My father called. I groaned and went into the house to stand before my parents with the numerous questions and punishments. I noticed dad looked puzzled before I glanced at mom who was upset. My mom and Darcy were like the same person, they even looked alike. Their green eyes looked dangerous when they were angry, their thick, soft, brunette hair hung down and curled towards the bottom. "What did you do to Darcy?" My father asked. His pale blue eyes were sharp and puzzled. I shook my head, "I didn't do anything, she just got up and ran off." I said innocently. "All right then, you can go." he said dismissing me. "Hold on a moment Robert, she's lying to us." My mother said holding up a hand. Dad rolled his eyes, "Sheryl, why would my oldest, honest daughter lie to me?" he asked. I looked as innocent as I possibly could manage without over doing it. "Yeah mommy, why would I lie to you or daddy?" I said childishly. "See what I mean Sheryl? She's innocent, now let her go." My mother got to her feet. "You're such a blind fool. She's playing you as always." She looked at me, "if you continue to lie then you're grounded from everything and you will not speak to anyone for a month." My jaw dropped, "For what? Telling the truth? I hate you!" I said and ran off to my room and slammed the door, locking it behind me and got on my computer to check my e-mail, there were no new messeges. Suddenly a sign popped up saying I got new mail, I opened it and looked at it.

Hello Seth.
I couldn't help but to over hear you and your sister, amusing stuff indeed. Also, I heard you and your parents yelling. I certainly hope you don't get grounded, it would be a shame to be left with no one to talk to except my siblings and possibly your "annoying little turd" of a sister. By the way, where's Kimberly?
I re-read the message, was I really shouting at my parents? I shook my head, no, I wasn't. I quickly went to work typing a reply.
'sup Jayce,
I never really had plans with Kimberly, I just....I know this might be really offensive but, you scare me sometimes. Besides, you were the one who suggested I didn't need to lead my family to think something was going on between us.
I sent the message and instantly got a message.

Using slang to greet me now? Well, that's no surprise, besides, I think it's good to be afraid of me. I'm not the healthiest person for you and I think it would be best if you don't talk to me anymore. bye.
I shook my head and typed rapidly.
Wait, what do you mean? Jayce, please, I'm not afraid of you...just alittle but that doesn't give you an excuse to stop talking to me. I will talk to you one way or another, I'll kncok you unconscious and tie you to a chair so I can force you to speak to me, trust me, I will do it if I'm forced to.
Sincerely, the angry neighbor.
I looked out my window and spotted Jayce moving like a ghost behind his closed curtains, I got out of my chair and leaned out my window. "You know you can't just ignore me! I'll be banging at your door everyday if I have to! You will speak to me sooner or later!" I yelled out my window. To my surprise, Brad opened the curtain and leaned out the window, "Wow, you want to talk to me that bad?" he asked smiling. "Not you ape-face! Where's Jayce?" I growled angrily at him. Brad shook his head, "Just chill, he's out right now. He'll be back and I'll send him your greetings." he chuckled as he went back inside, shutting his window and pulled the curtain closed. I went over to my computer and turned it off. I threw myself on my bed and put my face in the pillow, screaming at the top of my lungs, I had no idea why I was so mad about this, he was just some guy I met yesterday, he meant nothing to me but still.... I finished screaming and turned on my radio and listened to my Cher CD, I listened to the last song on the disc which was call "This is a different kind of love song," it was my favorite song by her besides, "Believe" "Dark lady" and "Gypsies, tramps & theives" I laid there scowling at my ceiling before I decided to sneak downstairs and call Kimberly. I almost got caught as I made my way into the kitchen, but I got lucky. I grabbed the phone and called Kimberly, she said she would love to hang out and would be at my house shortly. I hung up and climbed back up the stairs, going straight into my room. I silently shut the door and went over to my windw and sat in the windowsill to wait for Kimberly.
After waiting half an hour, a sleek, new silver Honda Accord GX drove up to my house. A woman got out of the car, she wore a yellow short sleeve hoodie and a light demin mini-skirt with a pair of matching yellow flip-flops. Her beautiful red curly hair hung down to her shoulders and her emerald green eyes looked about as I called to her from my window. She looked up and smiled. I quickly jumped out my window and carefully made my way to the edge of the roof before I jumped down, landing with a 'thud'. I painfully got to my feet as Kimberly helped me up. "Are you okay?" She asked, worried that I hurt myself. I nodded, "Never better, let's go." I said as we walked over to her car and got in. "I can't believe you did that, you could have seriously hurt yourself." She said starting up her car, the engine purred and she pulled out of the driveway and drove down the street. "I'm durable, Kimberly, so you shouldn't worry." I said reassuringly. She looked at me as if I were nuts. "Why didn't you just use the door like a normal person?" "I'm sneaking out of the house." I said smiling, "It'll be awhile before they notice I'm gone." Kimberly sighed as she shook her head, her curls bouncing along. "Let's get a frappiccino." I said smiling happily. "Okay, sounds good, then let's go to the mall." "Sounds cool."
We got our frappicinos and went to the mall, walking around and going to the different stores and trying things on as we played around. We soon got lunch then went back to looking around. We spent atleast five hours at the mall before we got tired and went back to her car. "You're parents are so going to kill you when we get back." Kimberly said as we drove back towards my house. I shrugged, "Atleast I had fun and that's all that matters."
Three:
There were police cars sitting in front of my house by the time Kimberly and I got there, I suddenly wanted Kimberly to hit the gas since my family and Jayce's family were standing in front of my house talking. Mom was crying on dad's shoulder and Darcy looked upset. I looked to Kimberly who was wide-eyed, "Oh my sweet lord, who's the dark cutie?" She asked pointing out my window. My eyes looked to where Kimberly was pointing and straight at Jayce, I suddenly saw a flash of dark fury behind his eyes as he saw me. I froze in my seat as my heart just stopped dead in my chest. "Drive!" my voice screamed, making Kimberly jump and step on the gas, hard. We jolted forward as the car sped forward. Once we were a safe distance, Kimberly stopped the car and shut it off. "What was that all about?" She asked shocked. I shook my head, "I-I don't know, I just, He...." My voice was faint. I took a deep breath before I began again, "That strange guy is Jayce and he's my neighbor, his family was talking to my parents. He just creeps me out alot. Maybe you should go home, I'll walk back." I said and got out of the car, "I'll call you if I can." I shut the door and noticed Kimberly waited til I crossed the street before she drove off. I stopped at the corner and sat down on a bench before looking up seeing the black cobalt parked only a few feet away from me, I looked at the driver and suddenly panicked. I only saw the door open before I got to my feet and bolted off. Unfortunately, I couldn't out run a car and the cobalt quickly caught up and blocked off the side walk, I tried to run past the back of the car but it pulled in reverse, blocking me off that way too. I growled and slid acrossed the back of the car, but something caught the back of my shirt. I turned my head and suddely went limp where I was. Jayce was so shockingly scary when he was angry. "Where the hell have you been? And what in the lord's name are you doing?" He snarled. My breath was stuck in my throat as I tried to say something but couldn't. My heart started to beat faster than anything I've ever felt. "Never mind, Just get in the car. Now." Although I didn't move right away, I quickly got off the back of the car and scrambled into the passenger seat and buckled up, grasping the edge of my seat hard. I could feel his anger come off in waves as he got into his seat and backed up and drove towards our street, growling strings of profanities too quickly for me to catch. I remained silent as we pulled up in his drive way. He was out of the car and at my side of the car in a split second, He opened the door and gently grabbed my arm and pulled me out. His face was expressionless, but his eyes, I just couldn't even look at his beautiful face. I was just so scared at the moment that I didn't realize that he dragged me acrossed the street and straight to my parents. The two families stared at me before my mother threw her arms around me and Jayce moved over to his father and murmured something. I stood there with my arms limp at my side, I suddenly was mad and glared at Jayce angrily, ignoring my mother's ramblings, my father's shouting and Darcy's annoying whinning. He looked back at me, his eyes still dangerously angry. I pulled away from my mom. "I think I'll go hang myself now, you crying is sickening." I said icicly and walked into the house, slamming the door behind me. I ignored the police that were in the house and went to my room. "Get out of here now!" I yelled at the officers that were in my room. The looked at each other and quickly exited my room. I slammed my door too and locked it before going over to my window and leaned out it. "I hate you Jayce Elder!" I shouted and shut my window with such force that the glass cracked. I started to throw things around my room, most of the things I tossed so carelessly around where things that wouldn't break. I finally fell onto my bed and cried myself to sleep.
I opened my eyes and blinked the grogginess from them and sat up in my bed. "Feeling better?" A familiar voice asked. I turned towards the window and saw Jayce there. "What? How'd you-" I started to ask but he cut me off. "You're parents let me in the house and I picked locked the door so I could talk to you." He said, one corner of his mouth twitched. I rolled my tired eyes, "I thought you weren't good for me, and that you didn't want to talk to me anymore." I said acidly as I laid back down and pulled the blankets up to my chin, turning away from him. "I know, but you're just always nagging at the edge of my mind and it's seriosuly annoying and," I hadn't heard him walk acrossed the floor, but he sat on the edge of my bed and softly ran his hand over my arm. "You said you hate me." I looked at him over my shoulder, "So? What does it matter to you?" "Nothing, but," He sighed softly, "It bothers me more than it's supposed to." "Give me one second." I said and grabbed my pillow and put over my face and scream so many words out of the book that it would make a holy man die of a heart attack. I tossed the pillow aside as I finished scream, my face was red from the lack of breathing. I noticed Jayce finally made an expression, but it was shock. "You have a very dirty mouth for a girl your age." He said shaking his head disapprovingly. "Who asked for your oppinion?" I snapped angrily and pulled the blanket over my head. He pulled the blanket back down so he could see my face. "I'm not liking this additude of yours, Seth." He growled as his eyes flickered the same dark fury as earlier. I sat up quickly, "Then leave!" I shouted, The next thing I knew was that I was laying on the bed, tears building in my eyes. A sharp pain shot through the left side of my face. I placed a shaky hand where Jayce had slapped me extremely hard. "Oh lord, Seth I'm so sorry. I didn't-" "Leave and never come near me again. Infact, don't even look at me or my family." I said, struggling to keep my voice strong as it threatened to crack and be become choked with the sobs that I fought back. "Seth...." He said faintly. "Go! Just leave me alone!" I shrieked as I looked at his pained face, I felt as if a blade had been stuck through my heart as I saw the tormenting pain on his face. "As you wish." He got up and went over to my opened window, "You'll never see me again." he suddenly vanished out the window. I got up and ran over to the window. "No! Jayce, I didn't mean it! Come back, please!" I called out my window and fall to my knees and began to cry.
I hid in my room the next week, School had started and my friends were confused as to why I was so depressed. I didn't even speak to them, so they just looked at me, always worried that I would just drop dead any minute. My parents were even worse when it came to keeping an eye on me, they wouldn't let me go anywhere unless someone was with me. Only once did I ever ask Jayce's father, Clark, if he knew where Jayce had gone, but he had no clue. I cried myself to sleep at night all the time now, nor did I ever really eat anything. I was just so guilty and upset that I was the reason Jayce had left, I had only known him two days and I already made him run off. Why? Why did this have to happen to me? A knock broke my trance of staring at the wall as I sat on my bed as usual now. "Come in." My voice rasped for I hadn't spoken unless it was to invite someone into my room. The door opened and Stacie's head poked in through the doorway. She was astonishingly beautiful as ever, but I never cared. She walked over to my bed, though it looked more like a dance. She dropped a letter on my bed. "He said to give it to you myself. He's really sorry about hurting you, he would never do such a thing to anyone." She muscially said. Her voice was sad, but calm. I picked up the letter and held it out to her, "Send it back, just tell him that he's left me for dead and that I was buried on the twentieth of August, perhaps he will come back then and find me alive. I don't want his damn letter, I just want to see him and tell him how I'm such a rotten person I am. Actually, rotten is an understatement." My voice was cracking and raspy still. Stacie shook her head, "I won't send it back, I'll just read it to you." she said and took the letter from my hand and opened it. White rose petals fell onto the bed as Stacie opened the letter. She pulled the letter out of the envelope and scanned it quickly before she began to read,
"Dear Seth, I know that you have every right to hate me, even want to kill me but I beg for your forgiveness. I won't say where I am for it only resembles nothing but hell. Every second kills me, knowing that I've hurt you so. I don't expect you to speak to me or even reply to this letter, but know that I wish there were somethings I was brave enough to say to your face. Please make sure that you never let anyone else ever hurt you like I have, or even treat you like you're nothing, and make sure you live a happy life, maybe even punt Darcy for me while you're at it. Sincerely, the man who will never forgive himself, Jayce M. Elder."
She finished the letter and looked at me as the tears rolled down my cheeks. I looked at her slightly confused face. "What does he mean he's hurt you?" she asked. I shook my head, "The pain he had caused me is nothing more than a pinprick but now I suffer, along with him. I hurt him more than I meant to, it's my fault he left. I told him that I wanted him to leave me alone and never come near me again..." I broke out into whimpers and sobs. Stacie sat down on the edge of my bed and hugged me closer to her, I ignored the fact that her whole body was freezing cold. "He's not coming back is he?" I asked in broken sections when I could actually breath. "He will come back, Seth. He just needs to find a reason to confront you." She said as she ran a delicate hand over my short raven colored hair. "Everything will be just fine, Jayce will forgive himself one day, but the question is, Can you forgive him?" I looked up at her, "I would kill myself if it made him happy." I said "Actually, killing yourself would make him feel even worse." She said and hugged me even more. "I'll deliver him a letter if you write one." I sighed and hugged her in return. "Okay, I'll write him a letter. Come by tomorrow at one o' clock." Stacie nodded, "Well, I have to go finish my share of chores. I'll make sure I hand deliver it to Jayce." she danced out of my room. I went over to my desk and grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, My writing wasn't as "old fashion" as Jayce's was but it was legible.
"Dearest Jayce,
I no longer have a heart that can forgive, but only the broken pieces of it are left for forgiving you. I'm as cold and cruel as the devil himself. I never meant to say those things to you, it was beyond wrong of me to say such things. Now that you are gone, I oddly cherrish the bruise on my cheek because it's the only physical evidence that proves that you are real and that I'm not having some sort of dream or going insane. Well, speaking of insanity, I rarely speak or eat anymore, I turn around everytime I think I hear your voice. I guess it's kind of creepy for a neighbor who's only known you for two days to miss you so badly, but you really give me the creeps sometimes, and I strangely miss that. I've fallen into a really bad depression and my old friends worry over me, but my parents are a thousand times worse than that. I really want to see you again, and I'm sorry.
With all the pieces left of my heart, Thesa Kay Hart."
My letter was short, but sweet.....sort of. I got up, leaving the letter on my desk and walked over to the trunk that sat at the end of my bed and pulled out a small book of compressed flowers that I had collected as a child. I flipped through the pages and found my Tiger Lily and set it in the letter before folding the paper neatly and slipped it in and envelope and wrote the addresses on it and retreived a stamp from downstairs and put it on my letter. I put the letter in my pocket and walked into the living room. I cleared my throat to get my family's attention. "I'm going to find Jayce, I know where he is, since it says on the envelope*. I know that I'm grounded, but I'm going to go find him because I can't stand being like this. I chased him away and I hurt him, badly. It's time for me to go apologize to his face and not in a dumb letter." I said, my voice still scratchy and rough. My mother shook her head, "Even though I don't like watching you be so depressed, I won't let you go. Being grounded means you are grounded and that's the end of that." "Sheryl, when we gave her freedom for a day, she sat in her room and cried for the longest time. We're going to get her to that boy so he can apologize for giving my beautiful daughter that nasty bruise, and then I'll kill him for ever putting his hands on her." My father said and stood up from his chair. Darcy kicked her feet back and forth, keeping her eyes on the ground. "I'm going alone." I said, "And if you don't let me go then you might as well call someone to take me to a mental hospital." I turned and marched up the stairs. Appearantly my father and mother followed me. "You are not going alone young lady, there are dangerous people out there who want to hurt you," My mother said shaking her head. My father agreed with my mother, "Also, people will cheat you out of your money, then how will you get to him?" he asked. "I'll walk if I have to." I said pulling an empty olive green duffle bag out from under my bed and tossed it over to my closet, "I'll even crawl if I must. I will get to him one way or another because I owe him an apology. I made him leave his family and I was really the only person here whom he spoke to. I chased him off, so I am going to find him on my own, even if it takes forever." I opened my closet and started pulling alot of my clothes out of my drawers, ignore my parents upset complaints as I worked. I grabbed a few pairs of shoes and stuck them in the bag, zipped it up and grabbed my wallet off the desk. "I'll be back as soon as I find him. I promise." I said and gave my parents hugs before running down the stairs and into the kitchen and grabbed my dad's car keys, they would have to deal with mom's mini-van for now. I raced to the door as I heard my parents fumble down the stairs. "Bye Darcy!" I yelled, figuring she was still inside and shut the door, racing over to dad's gold Honda Accord GX and quickly got in, starting the engine. I looked over my shoulder to back up but I couldn't because Stacie and Brad were standing behind the car. I turned to notice mom and dad were now exiting the house. "Damn." I muttered and hit the gas, Brad and Stacie jumped out of the way as the car whipped out into the street, I shifted the gear to Drive and sped off.
I had been driving for several hours now. I was greatful that I made it into Canada without any trouble, but I always felt something was following me. I was probably making things up since I was worried enough about getting my dirver's license taken away and being caught by the police for running off to find Jayce. Hopefully, that last one wouldn't happen since I knew my parents would turn my license over to the D.M.V. I turned on the radio and was instantly bored by the thousands of commercials that played. I dug around to look for a CD and found none, except the one that was already in. I groaned and just hit play, the music was loud and just obnoxious. That's what I get for stealing my dad's car, he always made us listen to heavy metal, even though he didn't look like the guy who would listen to such crap. Dusk crept upon the sky rather quickly and I knew I had to stop somewhere and rest, but I was to edgy for rest. I continued driving into the night until I knew I was going to pass out any second, so I pulled into a cheap hotel and paid for my room. I made sure the car was locked and parked right infront of the room I was staying in. I opened the hotel door and locked it behind me as I tossed my bag onto the bed, too tired to change into my pajamas. I crawled onto the bed and instantly passed out.
I woke up the next morning, still exhasted from the shortage of sleep. I grabbed my bag and took it into the bathroom with me as I went to shower. The water had been really cold at first but gradually grew warmer. I felt alittle more energized afterward as I changed into a black turtle neck sweater, a pair of jeans and warm socks. I brushed my hair and teeth before pulling on my snow boots and collecting my things before leaving the room. I tossed my bag int the passenger seat of the car and retrieved the snow chains for the tires. It took me awhile to get them on, but I succeeded in doing so. I had returned the key to the office before heading out onto the road again, which made me think of that cheesy song. I had to stop to get coffee once because I couldn't remain awake and had almost crashed. The hours seemed to drag on for what seemed to be eternity. I should have taken a plane to Alaska instead of driving there since Canada was a huge land of snow and ice.
After several days of driving and hundreds of dollars at the gas pump, I made it to Alaska. I drove down the icy roads towards the location of where Jayce was staying, according to the address on the letter. I could feel the lack of sleep taking its toll since I drove non-stop last night. I rubbed my eyes quickly as I turned onto a long empty road. I could see the two story building come into view as I drew closer. I parked my car next to the familiar black cobalt and got out of the car. I wrapped my coat around me tightly and made sure my letter was in my pocket as I locked my car and turned towards the door of the building. I hesitated for the longest time before I walked to the door and knocked. "Come in." A pained voice called. I opened the door slowly and walked into the house, pulling off my wet boots and my jacket for it was really warm inside. I left my boots next to the door and slung my jacket over my arm. "Hello?" I called as walked towards the living room where I found Jayce sitting, staring at the fire as it burned in the fireplace. "Jayce..." I walked over to him and rested my hand lightly on his shoulder. He icy hand grabbed mine firmly, sending a shiver throughout my body. "I didn't expect you to come here, Seth." His voice was so dead that it made me feel like I fell into a pit of icecicles. What happened next surprised me, I feel to my knees and began to cry. "I'm so sorry. Please, forgive me." I choked in between sobs. Jayce's cold hand pulled me up into his lap and wrapped me coat around me. He was as cold as a block of ice, I noticed I shivered alittle as he wrapped his arms around me tightly, holding me to his chest. "I forgive you, but I'm the one who hurt you." I heard the strain to keep the aching out of his voice, a cold finger lifted up my chin and turned my face to the right so he could see the faint bruising that was left. I took his hand and held it to where my bruise had been. "I haven't minded for the past week and how many ever days it has been, I'm just glad I can be with you." I said with a very weak smile and rested my head on his chest, "Never listen to anything I ever say again." I yawned and closed my eyes. "There's a letter in my coat pocket, the right one." Jayce stroked my hair softly with his other hand and kissed the top of my head. "All right." was all he said before he began to hum softly, he must have noticed that I was dead tired. "I.....hate....you." I said sleepy, but still in a teasing tone. I felt Jayce chuckle as I drifted off to a dreamless sleep.
Four:
I began to awake and it took me a second to realize I had fallen asleep on Jayce's lap. I opened my eyes to find myself in a bedroom, with the blankets pulled up over me. I sat up and looked over to the window, it was dark outside. I groaned as I realized that I slept the day away. "Something wrong?" I turned my head to see Jayce sitting in a rocking chair in the corner of the room. Without thinking, i jumped out of the bed and flung my arms around him and buried my face in his chest. So it wasn't a dream, he was actually right here, in my arms. I realized what I had done and my cheeks burned with embarassment. "Hmm. You seem quite excited to see that I'm still here." He said and chuckled with more of a cheerful tone than earlier. I looked up at Jayce and sighed, "I'm just glad I wasn't going crazy," I said and remembered how much trouble I was going to be in when I got home. My head instantly hung. "Oh man...." Jayce tilted my face up and raised an eyebrow, "What did you do this time?" he asked he sounded scornful, but had a interested look on his face. "Nothing, just got myself in more trouble than I'm already in." I smiled alittle and couldn't help to laugh abit. Jayce rolled his eyes, "Better be nothing major." "Errr....would you call running off to find someone important major?" I asked and flinched as he raised his hand. He noticed and sighed, "I'm not going to hurt you Seth." He said softly as he ran his hand over my boy-short raven hair. "I-I know, Sorry." I said looking away. "It's okay." He said, "I've read you letter, you're not a bad person, Seth. There are worse people, like me, who are out in the world. And," He paused for a while before he spoke again, "I'm sorry I destroyed your heart. Hurting you is the last thing I want to do." I blinked as I looked at him, "Your not a bad person Jayce, it was my fault. I deserved it and I-" "You didn't deserve it Seth!" Jayce's voice was suddenly harsh as his face rested in his hand. "You don't ever deserve to be hurt." I started to feel my anger bubble up, I moved away from Jayce and over to the door, "I did deserve it and that's the end of that." I said and slammed the bedroom door behind me and raced down the steps. I walked into the living room and sat myself on the couch and glared at the fire angrily. "You're only hurting yourself more by saying it was your fault, it wasn't because I could have controlled myself alittle better and than none of this would happen, we'd probably be on your porch talking, or something like that." Jayce said, making me jump. I hadn't heard him come down the stairs or even leave the bedroom. "You still aren't going to drop it, are you?" I asked and pulled my legs to my chest and hid my face in my knees. Jayce chuckled, "No, but I will if you just accept the fact that it wasn't at all your fault." I scoffed and shook my head, "Good luck trying to get me to do that." "Hmm." Jayce sat next to me and turned my face towards him. He had moved his face close to mine. My heart sped up and my face burned as I blushed "W-What are you doing?" I stuttered as I asked. "Just convincing you it wasn't your fault." He said before his icy lips locked with mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled myself closer to him. He was still cold as ice but I figured he must have been outside for awhile when I was sleeping. My tounge ran over his bottom lip before he pulled back, his breathing was even and normal, unlike mine which was short and rapid. "Are you convinced now?" He asked smiling. I shook my head, "But if you kiss me again, I might be." "You're greedy." "Reminds you of someone?" "No." He said and chuckled, as my stomach suddenly growled, "Maybe I should make you something to eat." My face blushed a bright red. "Okay." Jayce pulled me off the couch and into the small blue and cream colored kitchen. "It's pretty." I said as I looked around. "You should thank Elizabeth for that, she usually decorates the houses with Stacie." Jayce chuckled as he opened the fridge. I looked at him, "How many homes do you guys own?" I leaned against the counter and watched him. "A few." "Meaning?" "Three." "Three? That nuts, my parents can only afford a mini-van and a stupid Honda accord that they got as gifts from friends and family." I rolled my eyes and Watched as he pulled a carton of eggs and a block of cheese from the fridgerator and set them on the counter near me. "You'd be surprised." Jayce said as he walked over to one of the lower cabnients near my legs and pulled a good sized pan from it and set it on the stove. I figured I was in the way so I started to move until Jayce caught me around the waist and kissed my neck softly. "Does eggs and cheese sound good to you?" I smiled sheepishly, "It sounds really good, I've eatten one to many pancakes or waffles at the diners on the way here." He kissed my neck again, "Okay, but I disapprove of you driving here on your own. You should have brought someone along with you." he said as let go of me and got a cheese grater*, a knife, a small bowl, a fork, and a spatula. "My dad wanted to drive me here but I refused and almost ran over your siblings." He looked at me alittle surprised. "You almost ran over them?" "They were standing behind the car and my parents were running out of the house, I wasn't going to be a sitting duck and end up being chained to the tree in the front yard by my mom. Besides, they jumped out of the way and I'm sure they're fine." I said with a shrug. Jayce looked up a second before a knock on the door was heard. The corner of his mouth twitched upward as I got a bad feeling. "If anyone comes looking for me than say I died in a horrible car accident." I said as I came close to bolting out of the room. Jayce chuckled, "Well, then explain your car being in perfect condition in the front of the house." "You knocked me out with a pan and carried my unconscience to a ditch and buried my body with snow?" A roar of laughter came from Jayce, something I hadn't expected. The knock on the door sounded again. "Maybe I should get that." He said and left the kitchen. I shook my head and sighed, thinking back to the moment we had in the living room and licked my lips. Surprisingly I could still taste his lips on mine. It was only a few seconds before Jayce came into the kitchen, his expression was unreadable. Right behind him were my parents, looking angry, worried, and relieved all in one look. "Uhh.....Hi?" I said, I knew I was doomed for the rest of my life. Mom was the first to speak, "Thesa Kay Hart," I flinched, "How dare you steal your father's car and then run off, almost running over the neighbors." Her voice was just pure anger. I glanced over to Jayce for help, but the corners of his mouth kept twitching as he looked away from my parents and me. "You know, I think I forgot something in dad's car. It'll take only a second-" I started backing up. "Oh, no you don't. If I have half a mind then I would throw you in Juvenile Hall for the rest of your teen years and then straight to prison." Mom hissed as she started towards me. Dad quickly put a hand on mother's shoulder. "Sheryl, maybe we should discuss this before you do anything stupid." he said calmly, "Besides, nobody is hurt and she's safe with Jayce. It's not likely that she would be an idiot and jump off a cliff or something." Mother rolled her eyes, "And you don't think almost killing the neighbors is stupid? Brad and Stacie could have seriously been hurt because of Thesa's recklessness." "Mom! If they're okay then I really didn't do anything wrong unless me being happy makes you upset. You never understand anything! Jeez, no wonder everybody hated you in high school. You're such a jerk." I said and instantly left the room. I pulled on my boots and grabbed my coat and pulled that on before going outside and just started walking down the icy road. I pulled my hood up and kept my hands in my pockets. "Seth! Get back here before you freeze!" My father called out as he raced to catch up, but Jayce had reached me before my father. "You're being unreasonable to your mother and father, they just worry about you." Jayce said and pulled me close, "Besides, you don't have any gloves and you can be frost bitten." "Fine." I said and stood on my tip-toes and kissed him softly. Jayce smiled and picked me up. "Can I put on a show, just for the sake of curing my boredom?" I asked smiling. Jayce smiled in return, "Sure, but don't hurt yourself." I giggled, which was really odd and started flailing about and shouting curses, demanding to put me down. Jayce didn't seemed to notice that I was kicking about like a maniac. My dad had shook his head when he heard what I was scream, "You're right Sheryl, should have stuck her in sunday school." He called over his shoulder to mom. Mother looked appalled by my language, "That's a month of grounding young lady!" she yelled. I didn't care if I was grounded, as long as I got to talk with Jayce then I was fine with anything. Jayce had brought me into the house and tossed me on the couch, I instantly stopped the screaming and folded my arms acrossed my chest angrily as Jayce pulled off my boots and set them next to the couch before he pulled my jacket of delicately. My mother and father had left their boots next to the front door and taken off their coats. "Robert, got find a bar of soap or a spoon and a box of baking soda." My mother said glaring at me as she sat on the couch opposite of me. My dad frowned and went off to fetch either a bar of soap or the baking soda. "Mrs. Hart, I think that you're just going overboard with this." Jayce said as he pulled off his own boots and coat. "Seth just came up here because she felt guilty and needed apologize to me, face-to-face." My mother glanced at Jayce, "Seth is my child, I'll punish her as I see fit." she said, "And that is no excuse for her to run off to this wasteland and apologize to you after what you did to her." she snapped at him. I saw Jayce's face twist in a short flicker of pain. "You're such a cold heart woman, I can't believe dad still loves you. He's such a fool for ever thinking you loved him, but you just treat him like a dog." I said and stood up, "And if you ever, ever bring that up again then I will cut your tounge out of your fat mouth." I turned and passed dad in the hall as he headed to the kitchen, "Dad, mom said just forget it." I lied and went up the stairs towards the bedroom and shut the door.
