We did it!
We did it. WE DID! We voted, and we did it>w<. And if you didn't vote, if you're too young to, I thought of you while I did. I don't know what to say. I have a lot of things in mind, though. About why I really wanted him to be president. Beyong my being of that particular political orientation, of course, because he was a lot more inspiring to me than -John Kerry-. And unfortunately, I was 17 for that election><.

The biggest reason is watching the both of them campaign.

When Obama campaigned and spoke, everyone was united under the ideas of hope and the future and how things can change for the better.

McCain's people, rallied by Palin, criticized the 'left' and the 'special interests' and polarized them from 'real America'. And even as McCain congratulated Obama and conceded, his supporters heckled and booed and acted as such. But the thing is, if McCain had become president, he would have been president OF the left and the special interest groups and the 'fake' America that they criticized. And then what? Alienate the minority that's so much bigger than they thought?

And that's the thing-that it is. I don't feel as alone as I did before all of this. That might be stupid, but I don't. I don't feel like I'm a "special interest" that just gets pushed aside in the big picture.

But look at the map. Look how different it is from last time. I didn't think I'd see that much blue any time soon.

Thankyou to everyone else who voted. If I could, I'd thank you personally. In fact, I think everyone should thank everyone else for votingXD. Thankyou!
