So...a bunch of really bizarre (and very freaky) mini-games that pretty much have nothing to do with centaurs, elves, or orcs -- things like stopping your car before you run off a cliff, running your car off said cliff, vacuuming up debris and dust bunnies (dust shaped with bunny features), and scrubbing Liam's...ummm...godly, rippling chest -- are what make up the Olympics, and the higher you take your average score with all of those games, the more swag you procure from the event. Clearing the full set of ten mini-games once gives you the first item out of two possible items; clearing it several more times gives you that item again; and getting an average of 8.5 or higher nets you the second item.
Neither of the items really work with my avatar, but the first is the Lightning Bolt -- which is just that: a bolt of lightning you hold in your hands -- and the second, the Javelin Impalement.
I can really only say that this event is pure win at this rate, as we've been promised ten new events each day until the end of the 27th, plus two new items with each new set of events, all of which you can play over again for all of the fun. It doesn't earn you gold, but the uniqueness and originality (and bizarre take) all make up for this fact. Plus, you have the option to chat in your team forums, but you can only go into yours and not others' -- harassing can thus only be done in the main event forum, where sparks can freely fly.
What team did I choose? Guess you'll have to wait and see. :3
