Well. The confusion has passed. I confirmed that I was right about him not liking me that way! I'm so happy!! He's very sweet, though. The way he phrased it to my friend was kind. He said that I was a great friend, and I'm really awesome, but that we should not be anything more than friends. So, I'm very happy. ^^
