Meh journal, beware the things it beholds.

My past
So its the day before I depart and I'm a little bit nervous. I'm excited as well. I miss my dad and I cant wait to see him. I know we're gunna have loads of fun. He's planned a canoing trip for us. I might have mentioned this before but oh well. We're gunna go on a canoe trip. This kinda has sentimental value. Me and my dad used to participate in annual canoe races at the Cajun Cafe down by where we live. I remember one year the guy who supplied the canoes was in the race. He and his daughter were ripped and had the best canoe's and paddles. They won. My paddle broke. XD

I also was disappointed to hear that my brother moved to North Carolina. I got a text from him telling me his new cell phone number. When I asked about it he said he moved. I didn't even get to say goodbye. But I'm kind of used to it. I hardly ever get to see him because of his job. I love him dearly though. He may be in his thirties but he, just like my dad, acts 19. We used to always go to the pool or go tailgating and football games. I became the GOD of Bop It Extreme. Imagine 30 people sitting in a circle playing bot it....And I won. Every time....It was great.

I kind of like talking about my family. I'm thankful for what I have compared to what others are given. Some memories are worth millions to me and they dont involve expensive trips. My dad lived in an apartment after my parents divorce and I used to see him every wensday and every other weekend. I remember the first few months and there were boxes lying around the house. He didn't have a lot of money, and it only had one bedroom. He had to sleep on the couch. But it was still fun. We would both sit on the couch and shoot bottle caps into the handles of the boxes. He was the bottle cap shooting king! He could shoot a cap over four houses easy, just using his hands.

[EDIT] Forgot to add this. Me and my dad lived in a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment with only a living room and a kitchen. It was really small, and we lived on the second floor. Our downstairs neighbors were very picky and they always complained that we were walking to loudly. You couldn't get on the bed (gently) without them coming up and nagging. I remember one day they left to go to the store and me and my dad were celebrating by jumping around loudly. "THERES -jump- NOBODY -jump- DOWN -jump- STAIRS!!!!"....We still got in trouble. When they got back, there was popcorn all over their furniture. [/EDIT]

I remember my brother came over to spend the night, he used to do that whenever he was in town and had a night off. The schedule was always the same. Rolladoughs at Jotos (Best invention ever), pool time, then sleep. Bryan slept on the couch. One time, he fell asleep on a penny and it got stuck to his back. He stood up and walked around the next morning with it suction-cupped to his back and he didn't even know it. It was hilarious!

I'm thankful that my father was a responsible person. He used to drink, but he was the best at it. He would take me to a bar/grille called Rockwell's and I knew people there. My best friend Derek was the son of the bartender. I was probably only 8 or so. We'd have adventures, sneaking around and causing mayhem while my dad socialized at the bar. Even then he was the father of the year to me. He would always call a cab to take us home, and he never appeared drunk. He had a good tolerance for alcohol and he always new when to stop.....So he did. He quit drinking entirely cause he knew it was bad. I miss my days at Rockwell's. I sometimes go in there to see the familiar places. They all know me. I grew up in there. Good times.

Thats pretty much my past. I think the most difficult decision of my life was when my mother confronted me after the divorce. "Do you want to live with Mommy? Or Daddy?" Gosh I don't know how old I was. I love my mother and father equally but I've always wondered what life would have been like if I'd chosen 'Daddy'.
